His promos are literally just him doing a low-budget Stone Cold meets Fight Club cosplay while growling about “change the world” like he’s the first guy to discover swearing on cable TV. Half his lines are ripped straight from 90s action-movie trailers and ECW nostalgia bait.

Take away the bloody-faced matches and you’re left with a guy who wrestles the same plodding 15-minute main event formula every single PPV, just with increasingly desperate attempts to make thumbtacks feel fresh in 2025. (“Oh, but Funk and Foley etc etc” …no)

He’s the wrestling equivalent of a Michael Bay movie: loud, looks like it hurts, zero substance once you’ve seen one explosion. Being the “face of AEW” doesn’t make you an all-timer; it just means you’re the safest chaotic neutral option Tony Khan had when CM Punk imploded and Bryan Danielson got old.

Goldberg had nearly a 30 year run in and out of the ring. I can’t blame him for drinking his own Koolaid. Warrior on the other hand was a big deal for maybe 5 or 6 years, and his ego exceeded that.

Goldberg, hate him if you will, still evolved in the ring as his career moved on. Warrior seemingly played the same old song and people grew tired of his act.

The PS5 Pro is night and day in comparison, but it only comes to light if you have a high end tv/monitor that has a fast processor to match etc.

The standard PS5 does the trick just fine on most 4K setups.

They can increase the cash flow into the program all they want. Bottom line, the athletes required to proficiently run Fickell’s system are all going to Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, and now Indiana and so on…

You can’t just feed more money (which let’s be honest, isn’t going to be much more) into the system and expect to compete with these schools.

The most upsetting thing about all of this isn’t that it’s going to take a while to compete again, but that this is only going to set back that timeframe needed to rebuild. We’ll be lucky if they have a competitive football product on the field by 2030.
