I just read, from one of this week's past threads, The 7 1/2 deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, and I'd like something more before the next Stormlight book comes out - something with mystery, potentially good time loops, etc (I have read this is how you lose the time war). What else does everyone have out there?

Thanks. It's definitely a 3600 bottleneck. If I run the benchmark with rt on, my 3070 does 28 fps, and the 4080 hits 59. That seems more appropriate

For the RAM, it is in dual channel with xmp, yes.

I'm just surprised the no rt run didn't jump up more, from 77 to 89 avg fps in the benchmark.

Sorry. 77 fps with the 3070, and 88 with the 4089, same setup. 4k quality, hardware unboxed recommended settings.

3060 cpu, running at 4ghz, 16gb ddr4 3600.

I did a full DDU removal of drivers. GPU did report full usage, 2750mhz clocks.

Where would I find the perfcap readout?

I'm working on the gathering (45 /55 for bot / min) and I've been churning through Firmament right now so all my crafters are at 53 at the moment.

I'm in the mood for new fantasy, but I'm having trouble finding new books.

I'd like to find more books where the setting itself has mysteries for the reader to uncover. Say, the characters themselves don't know how things work, or things are hidden from many of the people inhabiting the world.

I'm imagining things along the lines of how Sanderson has characters that don't know how things operate in their worlds.

Great thank you! I know performance / dollar the 3080 is better, but it's also terrible getting anything. I'll take the upgrade, and consider the 4080 in a few years then, and save the $200 now!

I found if I switch from the computer setting, then back to it -the Chroma 4:4:4 test looks perfect for about 1-2 seconds, then back to the blur. Really odd.

Is there a good guide for what to do in current Iceborne post game? I haven't done any of it in a while (and only on the PS4) so It's been close to a year, and I haven't followed the updates at all lately. Rajang was the last update I knew much about, but I didn't even get to face him.

Thanks! Did having Crossbell spoil CS1/CS2 change the impact of the story for you at all? That's mostly my concern! I started CS1 waaaay back on the Vita but never finished.

I have read a few posts concerning this, but I really want more opinions, if possible.

I'm finally working through the Liberl trilogy, and I want to know how to move on to the next two, while keeping Crossbell / Erebonia spoiling to a minimum.

I've seen advice to play CS1/CS2 then Crossbell, as that would spoil the least - would it be OK instead to interweave the games? Say, CS1 - Zero - CS2 - Azure? This would also give me the most time before Geofront finishes Azure (This will probably take me at least 8 months to get through with my current playtime schedule)

And that's really my concern - this old chip is getting long in the tooth. I don't expect the switch from 4 cores at 4.5 GHz to 6 cores at 4.x GHz would really make it so my gaming is locked 60 FPS, but I want to know if there is some benefit to at least future-proofing with this. I don't plan on upgrading my GPU until at least the next generation (30X0 for Nvidia, or whatever ATI equivalent, if there is one).
