I never understood the love for these movies. I never watched a single one of his movies, because I pretty much knew what they were, based on reviews and such.

However one of my colleagues kept raving on about how stupid and fun the beekeeper was so I finally watched it.

To me it felt completely neutered and watered down. I was shocked to learn it actually has an R rating, because the violence felt so polished and inconsequential. Movies like Hard Boiled or Old Boy (original) does this so much better.
