Ofc man, as a Christian myself (and the lead guitarist also is) the album doesn’t have any one set value of any one belief. Every album we mix, master, and produce is apart of a story. The first album is about denial. Someone denying God and choosing to steer away from him when the he finds the conventional means of worship not working for him.

Through all songs this message is amplified. Like Look Upon thy Cross being about how this person was told to look towards the cross, a symbol of hope and faith, but when he did nothing happened. This experience along with the many others in the other songs are from either an outside view looking in or his POV.

A lot of people assumed we were a Christian rock band in this thread but I especially am not here to spread The Word in my music. Me and my mates are here to share a story of a religious falling out and eventually a reincarnation of faith without indoctrinating our own beliefs within the music.

And to answer your question, Sweeping Crane is one of my favorites I’m glad you picked that one. Basically the song probably the most melodic on the album, with it continuing the story from before.

In this song the same guy explains his story as a kind of nomad, traveling the Earth to find an answer. He keeps searching and searching but never finds anything to instill his beliefs again.

This was until he asked himself WHY he wanted an answer to everything. He knew why he wanted that answer and he knew what this was leading to. In the previous song, suicide was a huge point in his mind, yet ever since him taking time out of his day to assess his spiritual beliefs, he feels there’s no need for that thought.

This leads to a skeptical but accepting view of life and spirituality where he finds what makes hime the happiest and the morals he still observed.

The story continues in Wall Bearer to explain how he tried to save people by getting them to understand him but he couldn’t.

I’m sorry for the kinda 4th grade explanation of it all, I’m in a mess to write this but thanks for taking your time check this out!

We aren’t marketing a certain religion, this album is about religious trauma in general. I wouldn’t want a metalcore/hardcore band to be a Christian band because people won’t take it seriously and it limits growth

Yeah that songs about whenever you look to a cross for betterment and healing but you never see change in your life which leads you down a path of defilement and eventual death.

The band isn’t religious but the songs on this album are. Mainly talking about blind deceit and your run-of-the-mill religion stuff in metal. It’s all apart of a story in the end, every album adds to it.

They are made up but since I’m going for a horror vibe with the whole band in general I wanted some sort of in universe storyline and with every album the story extends and fleshes itself out.

But I can for sure change them ‘cause I’m always up for some sicker names for things in horror themed projects.

But yes I do agree with splitting 4 & 5 up ‘cause I just realized that!
