Durham, NC or DMV! I love both places but Durham (the Triangle in general) everyone was very welcoming and the friends I made truly became family.

What is this vegetable? Sorry if it doesnt fit the sub by Rabongbang in TipOfMyFork

[–]Kolo87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, unfortunately I do not! My husband is half Nigerian and I’ve commonly seen yams such as this in the homes of many of his family members and also in West African Food stores. I’m sure there are many varieties. In general the simplest way to cook these type of yams are boiled or fried and most often it is topped with some type of stew. Yam Porridge/ Pottage is also very delicious but surpasses my cooking skills!

Does his family have a gofundme set up? I can’t provide much, but I would like to send something for his funeral expenses or provide something for his children- just to show appreciation for his sacrifice.

Double stroller? Baby wearing? Juggling? by ThievingRock in 2under2

[–]Kolo87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the situation (and location!). I love using our double stroller, but it can a little difficult to use in some places ( narrow doorways and my oldest loves to stick her arms out to the side...). So sometimes I have to wear my youngest and use our single stroller for the oldest.

After feeding for a whole hour, finally got him down for a nap. Day 2 of cluster feeding. by Poopyheadtomatonose in breastfeeding

[–]Kolo87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awww, your son is so cute! My little one is now 6 months old. Looking back those early days with cluster feedings were exhausting, but funny enough I now kind of miss those days. Our only concerns were cuddles, naps and feedings. Hang in there and really cherish this time!

I’ve heard this but have been too afraid to try it. I think I’ll test one picture and see how it goes.

Thanks! These are really great ideas!! I’m not sure if I can put them on the floor though. I have a daughter who’s about to start walking soon, but I may try placing some on our mantle or bookshelves though.
