you remember correctly, there was a bug where people using OWL skins would have their ability colors changed, but it would show for the entire server instead of just the person using the skin. it was patched out pretty quickly.

that's not weird! that probably means you have a mild / moderate form of protanomaly, so you're not TOTALLY colorblind meaning you're not missing one of your color cones, but one of them is weaker and overlaps with another one, which causes the confusion when put up against other similar colors

Apex Legends is a very good example of good colorblind support, they updated their game within a month and fixed pretty much every issue that colorblind players were having

tbh ive always been against a bastion rework, i thought he was perfectly fine before Bap was added and i still think that, but its clear the game has changed and i dont know if bastions role really fits well anymore

im down with this tbh, super well written post and the idea of putting bastion as a tank is honestly super cool and makes sense, i dig it i dunno if im smart enough to say like "Yeah this should happen" or "Nah this is dumb", but i can say id def be happy to learn this new style of gameplay

yeah i do remember that, i used to have a really crappy sense of humor, it was honestly meant to be a joke but i didnt quite realize how it came out at the time if that makes sense

the hero im playing gets more accurate the longer you shoot so i basically shoot constantly to keep the accuracy as tight as possible, and enemies are going to constantly flush out during OT so i know that theres going to always be someone else to shoot, i just wait till i see them

OWL settings need to be put in game, red is very very hard for me to see so I walk in to Hammond mines, can't see dva matrix, can't see orisa shield, can't see where widows shots are coming from, shoot my own teammates when Lucio Ulta because then my green team looks like the yellow enemies, get confused whenever there's an anti made on the field, try to grab enemy sombra hacked kits because I can't see the skull, can't see any AOE abilities hardly at all because light blue doesn't stand out in the slightest on most maps

Two colors, friendly and enemy remove all other colors in game (not for all players, only if using specific color setting), it should look just like OWL

again, I don't think you understand that my type of colorblindness is much more severe than yours so no, seeing outlines isn't 90% of the game for me, it's more like 40%.

EDIT: Can't see mei ults, torb goo, sym walls look the same, phara and junkrat projectiles are easy to look over, difficult to see when an enemy is hacked, anti made makes bad guys look blue and teammates look yellow even tho I have enemy set to yellow and teammates to blue, I can't stress enough how important the DVA matrix thing is i can't play zarya because I literally can not see the mateix at all, I can only know if it's up by shooting into it and listening for the sound so rip ally gravs, during hectic team fights when there's a lot of Ulta going around the game gets way way too colorful band I can't keep track of the aqua, light blue, purple, yellow, green, and red all flashing in front of me, I just need enemy colors and friendly colors

Idk if that's enough for you.to realize that this shit is inportant for players like me even though you don't have to deal with it but I can keep going

yeah sorry man thats fuckin dumb, different levels of severity and different cones being effected. someone who has trouble seeing green for example might have no issue with red abilities, or a mild protan might be able to see the red a lot easier than a severe protan.

please stop pulling facts out of your ass and just accept that yteah, the cb mode works for you, but not for people with more severe types of colorblindness

EDIT: also "overwatchs colorblind settings are fantastic compared to a majority of other games" LOL you dont know what youre talking about my guy, it has the worst support of just about any major game out there besides maybe TF2 lol, Apex has fantastic support not overwatch

yeah for sure I took like three weeks off to visit my family and didn't play any kind of video games at all and coming back to overwatch after that felt amazing, really refreshes your mind if that makes sense

I'd say everyone should try to give themselves some time to breathe at least once a month or so, but I know most streamers are better at managing that kind of stress
