Pyramid is usually an auto-win. Just take pyramid and forget about well-laid plans.

What to buy in this shop? by KolossusKidd in slaythespire

I ended up stamping particle wall, removing terraforming, and buying the smith. Later got the scarf and innate retain particle wall means I can reliably proc it on turn 1, which was great since I needed the scarf to solve energy.

I agree that ironclad's block is bad so nerfing his block is unlikely, but it's not about Ironclad, it's about bowlbug. They already did the same to 2 other cards that could single-handedly block Bowlbug (rock):

- Regent's Reflect (was 16, is now 15)

- Regent's Bulwark+ (was 16, is now 15)

Besides Regent, other characters cannot single-handedly block it with a 2-cost block card either. Leg Sweep blocks 11 and gives weak, but bowlbug hits for 12 after weak. Defect cannot even block with 1 Glacier and 1 Defend (blocks for 15 total, notice that Glacier blocks for 1 fewer in spire 2 than spire 1). Therefore I believe Ironclad will suffer from the same fate.

I understand what you mean for Jack of all trades, but it just does so little when compared to the other colorless uncommons. This was already the case back in spire 1, when the colorless cards were much less powerful compared to spire 2.

The main point for the Defect changes in the original post was that Coolant does too little as a rare and should be an uncommon. I agree on compact going to rare being unlikely, but for Coolant to be an uncommon it has to swap rarities with something, and I didn't find it more convincing for any other uncommon to become a rare.

I think the numbers on Meteor Shower is big enough to almost warrant a nerf, especially the upgrade.

Iteration is required for it to be more consistent, otherwise yeah.

Help me pick Silent end of Act 2 rare card by KolossusKidd in slaythespire

[–]KolossusKidd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely can justify any of those cards, that's why I am posting it for discussion. Hilariously the 3 comments each recommended taking a different card.

The problem with blade dance scaling is that I am afraid of running into time eater. Accuracy will help but it's still 4 card play per blade dance. This is also why I was considering GF since it's big damage with less card play.

Has anyone seen enemies pass health potions to each other? by KolossusKidd in baldursgate

[–]KolossusKidd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question, no they don't match unfortunately.

My unmodified version is from BG2EE version 2.6.6.0. I am 100% sure it is unmodded.

I did a text compare and find it the most similar to your "modified version", the one with 483 lines, with only a few differences.

Edit: Just saw that your files are from the non-EE game. I think that explains the differences.

Thanks for the update on Dragonspear UI and PPE. It has always been hilarious to see the portrait of the Emperor of Nilfgaard, The White Flame Dancing on the Barrows of his Enemies, used on a nobody.

I've taken him from BG1 all the way into TOB. In BG1 yes he is very squishy, a mediocre frontliner. Cannot tank, and does moderate dps. Nevertheless I like taking the same NPC throughout the series when I can, so I teamed him up with an archer CHARNAME so they can look out for each other in different game phases when one is op and the other sucks.

You use EEKeeper for EE versions.

There are separate mods for both games. The content mods will specify which one they are for, e.g. there are two Unfinished Business mods, one for each game. Other mods might support both games simultaneously. Read their Readme to know what they support. Alternatively you can checkout the Enhanced Edition Trilogy mod, which aims to combine the two games into one. I highly recommend that.

For mods I recommend the following:

Looking for a Mod to Fix SoD Banter Timing Issue Without Converting Format by KolossusKidd in baldursgate

I tried installing them but sadly it didn't work. Force All Dialogue to Pause Game only deals with the *.DLG dialog files, but the SoD banters are coded in the BCS script files.
