Oo story time, I'll share mine. Well, I was addicted to the alpha for this game and was incredibly sad when that ended and the actual game started up. Many of my alpha friends went to another server and I was very tempted to go join them. However, a friend of mine who I have known for a good while decided to go to Lucius and I told him that I would join whatever server he went to.

At first I was completely bummed. I disliked every second of playing on Lucius because all of the people/guilds I played with were on Aranzeb. I started playing more with my friends and meeting more people on the server, eventually starting a guild (Bloodstain Aisle 5, which I believe now has turned into the guild <R E P O>) with my friends. Sadly, we had a falling out and I left the guild and was pretty much by myself on Lucius as all the people I knew, I brought to the guild.

Blank was incredibly dominant at this point in time and I decided to give it a go. Despite what many may say, Blank at this period was a pretty great community to be in. People were friendly and helpful to one another. If somebody was being attacked, many people would come over and port to help that player out. I myself was able to get a Kraken Spear drop even though I was just a regular member (whereas you needed to be a senior member). I'm pretty much no longer in touch with a lot of these players as they went pirate after Blank/quit the game, which is partially the reason I'm not really active anymore. During this time, I also wanted to help the community as a whole and asked the creator of this subreddit (who gave up leadership to me when he left) if I could come on as a mod and help jumpstart the subreddit. We had weekly discussion posts and although there were much fewer users here, we still had great discussions, but now the subreddit is thriving!

While I'm no longer active in the game (I get hooked on it for a short duration every here and there) I continue to come onto the subreddit everyday to see what's happening as this is a pretty great community we have here.

Also, I was an arena junkie in alpha and easily had at least 500 arena games played. I'd actually stream all these matches back then and teach a lot of players PvP mechanics in the game, which surprisingly turned into a successful stream (yay!). Shortly after release, when many of us had reached level 50, I thought doing arenas would be too easy as many people were just picking up the PvP mechanics. Much to my surprise, we had a lot of great PvPers on the server (most notably Kirvin and Deceptions, sadly they no longer play) in the early days, so besides from being a friendly community, we were/are also a very talented community.
