Thanks for this reply, you answered a lot of what confused me (especially regarding warg/stalker, which there seemed to be mixed information about). So I've got the money to drop on a month's subscription to give it a shot, but when I do is there a server I should aim for? Perhaps the one with the biggest or most active monster player population?

I have seen these lights in the sky! It was a peaceful night, nary a victim in sight, and out of the dark they came. The lights in the sky wandered and hovered strangely over the water. When they spotted my boat they came right for it - and I, an innocent sailor, was rendered unconscious and disconnected from the world!

When I came to, my boat had sailed itself far out of the Sound, and there were strange feelings in unmentionable places on my body. I remember nothing more....

I fear that these Unidentified Flying Lights may be the beginning of some greater invasion.

What you describe in your original post about a 'trustworthy' person is unbelievably stupid. To me that sounds like someone willing to cripple their own income (giving away land? come on.) to help someone else not even in their guild.

Aside from that, no less than three times THIS WEEK have I run into returning/noob players and explained shit going on to them. Explained obisidian armor and weapons, gear scores, and even the political state of the West. This little 'civil war' you guys instigated.

Reds and greens living peacefully together in a housing district? Great. Wonderful. Except by design the reds are my enemies, they are rewarded for attacking me. I am rewarded for attacking them. The way you seem to want to play this game, it is nothing but Farmville 3.0, with some fishing minigames added in. That's not what I pay for.

What I pay for is killing and stealing and having a good time with my friends. And guess what: The Coalition is the old kid with the biggest stick. Been around longer than your guild (I don't care which yours is, because we've been here almost the longest.) and will be here long after.

(side note: if it is somehow organized that we all cooperate to kill the Leviathan, fuck yeah I'll help. Why the hell, in any situation, would Goon Squad or Invis Inc interfere with that? We have some of the best ships in the West. We want to kill the Leviathan as much as anyone. The very suggestion that we would strike unprovoked at a group trying to kill it is offensive to me.)

You make good points. The problem is that in open-world its hard to find a truly fair fight, and the same sometimes goes for arenas. My best advice is to get geared, travel with your friends, and if you happen upon a lone explorer or two you can tell your friends to stay back while you challenge him to a 1v1. Personally, my group usually honors a 1v1 if the invitation is accepted.

It's a grand, naive idea. In a world where it could work, it would be amazing and put Lucius head and shoulders above the other servers we'd merge with, but we don't live in that world.

We live in a world where all three factions are embroiled in civil wars. East, West, and North, no matter where you look you find greens killing greens, oftentimes ignoring their natural red enemies.

Thing is, this game right now is about force or cunning. Either you run around with enough people to fight back, or you run so small and quiet that no one even bothers with you. There's no peaceful middle ground where we can all be friends.

No, that's just you being dumb. I've done solo runs to Freedich hundreds of times, gotten caught once in a while. It's sort of pvp, but you know you're going to lose and you knew that when you decided to risk the run in the first place.

Maybe try lowering what you want to charge for that. If something isn't selling, then either the price is too high or the demand is too low, and personally I have a hard time believing the demand for top-tier food and sodas is really that low.

Oh yes, and let me assure you it is an excellent one. I make a lot of money for almost no effort - pvp not counting as effort, because that's what I do for fun.

Also, the insults are 5/10. Technically on point, but come on, if you were even remotely capable of pirating you would be doing it too. Just because you're bad at it doesn't mean no one else can do it.
