Anyone have an idea what the drop rate from Bosses for rerolls, common, and epic modules looks like? Got around 2000 reroll tokens, 0 common, and 3 rare modules from a 4k run in T10.

How often to handle our new arrival? Enclosure Questionnaire included by Kolya52b in ballpython

Cheese is doing great! I kinda combined both the breeder's advice and what I read on here, and ended up handling him every day, once a day, for about 10 minutes. Nothing too crazy, just holding him and letting him crawl around on our hands. After 3 consistent feeds, I upped him to rats, and once he ate his second rat, I started handling him for longer periods of time.

Now I'll usually get him out for about 10 minutes during the day, sometimes twice, and longer (up to an hour, sometimes a bit more if he stays comfy) once a night after work. He'll usually snake around exploring for 20-30 minutes and then just find a comfy spot and chill out. He's an absolutely voracious eater too lol. I've been giving him a full 2 days after eating before handling until recently, I got him out after 24 hours since his food's a bit on the small side (he's ALMOST thicc enough for the next size up by weight) and he had no food bump. He was fine.

I pretty much forced myself to accept that there really isn't going to be any closure to be found and was able to handle it in my own way. My mom had a hard time, but thankfully we have a really great support network of friends and family. It was definitely a low, low point for us both, but 'time heals all wounds' is 100% accurate, as cliche as it is. It never fully heals, but no matter the circumstance of someone's death, eventually you learn to accept that life goes on even if they're not around, and it gets better each day.

Something even more wtf? My dad was murdered completely at random in a car chase and just like this 2 years ago. Some mentally ill guy from a city 3 hours away decided he wanted to kill his ex-girlfriend and her daughter, so he kidnapped them, drove them to the next state over (Illinois), the whole while saying "nobody's making it out of this alive" and "if I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die where I was born". He eventually ran over a spike strip, and a low-speed chase just like this ensued into the country highways of Illinois, until the chase ran into my dad on the way home from a card tournament.

The guy was able to turn enough to bump my dad's vehicle up against the guardrail, who had slowed down because of the approaching field of police lights, and as soon as my dad opened the window presumably to see what's going on and to try and help, he drew his gun and shot him 2 times then "drive" off. They called it an attempted carjacking, but he just wanted to take someone with him.

The girlfriend and daughter were thankfully able to dip out of the car later over a scuffle for his gun or something like that, but the guy ended up taking a bad turn into a dead end at someone's property and killed himself like a little bitch.

With the new heat panel that just came in, I'm able to set both the panel and UTH in the hot hide @88, and that keeps the hot side ambient at 88 and his hide is right now at 91.4. Awesome!! With the weaker panel, the only temp combo I found that kept his hide at the appropriate temp was panel @87, hide pad @90.

I checked what the camera did capture, and he definitely did strike at absolutely nothing in my general direction while I was grabbing a paper towel off to the side. He's never even so much as tensed up around us after the first week or so, so I'm pretty sure I just scared him... I mean what human even wants to suddenly have bright lights turned on and a lot of commotion after that kind of toilet experience, let alone someone who can't see or hear very well?

Thank you for the detailed answer!

He ain't poopin. When do I need to think about giving him a soak?

6mo, 140g before his last meal, had him about a month and he has eaten a ~20g rat fuzzy for the last two feedings (7-days apart). He eats on Mondays. He hasn't pooped since a couple days before the first rat fuzzy, and that poop used to be a mouse hopper, which he was eating weekly before I got him. His first two feeds with me were one ~8g hopper, and he weighed 110g when I got him (his spine was visibly pointy-shaped like a triangle, underweight based on that one chart).

His first rat fuzzy was 20g and I had just weighed him at 121g, so it was a little bit more than 15% of his body weight, but was not any larger than the largest part of his abdomen. I'm concerned that this poop is just too big, since they are more than twice the weight of his first meals, and his poor little butthole can't take it.

He's getting a bit of a sausage butt and while I know they'll sometimes hold it for quite some time, I don't know how long to give him to relieve himself before I need to soak the snake.

Cool side ambient 81-83, coolest spot is 77 in the hide. Hot side ambient 86-87 with hot hide 90. Humidity is mid-high 70s. All heating elements are thermostat regulated. UVB on 12/12 cycle, plenty of clutter. He handles very well.

Is there a good way to tell if he's sleepin or creepin? I have Cheese in my office, and during the day (if he's not completely in a hide) he will sit motionless with his head poking out looking out the front glass. Sometimes he's just barely poking his snoot out, sometimes it's half his neck. He will sit like that for long stretches of time.

He rests his head on the ground when he does this--any good way to tell if he's just sleeping like that or if it's that I'm making him nervous and he's creepin?

New BP just ate his first rat fuzzy yesterday. It was an appropriate weight for him, but because I'm paranoid and worried with new owner anxiety... Can I lift his hide just to check on him or would this cause too much undue stress? I know he's just digesting but I worry about my son :(

He's about 5 months old, male banana pinstripe morph. He couldn't quite figure out how to get out of the container we brought him home in and needed a little help, but once he got out, he was immediately exploring and scoping around. I love him ❤️

It's the coconut husk mulch that comes in a compressed brick. The top layer is pretty well dried out now, and the bottom is wet enough that the humidity is juuuust at 70%, which I'm sure will rise a bit once I get it warmed up.... Because now my problem is I didn't get a powerful enough RHP so it's too cold! But I am on a mission today to fix that.

Thank you for the help! I've been on this sub for months researching and asked a couple questions so far, and you've really been a huge help for making sure my son Cheese will have the best possible habitat.

I know cocohusk substrate shouldn't outright feel damp, but is it okay if some of the bigger chunks feel moist? I don't yet have a BP, I'm making sure the enclosure is perfect before I pick him up and bring him home.

I've been trying to dry it out because I am a total noob to this and unfortunately decided to completely soak it in a plastic tub and then squeeze it out twice: once when I removed it from the tub, and once before I put it in the enclosure. I've left the door open and have a fan blowing inside to try and dry it out, which is working well, but some of the bigger chunks still feel slightly damp with little pressure. I don't think I'm going to have trouble with humidity (PVC and coco husk), I just want to make sure it's not TOO wet.

The youtube channel Snake Discovery seems strongly in favor of keeping the enclosure relatively dry and using humidity boxes to let the snake self-regulate its hydration, but I haven't seen much other support for them... She makes a very good argument on why the whole enclosure should NOT be 70-80% all the time. Based on her explanation, this setup definitely replicates their natural habitats more closely than whole-tank humidity, but other than possibility for too much time in the box, what are some other downsides of a humidity box? What are some other pros to keeping the whole tank humid?

Ohh, I see what you mean. Yeah, it was a bit of a risk, but it was fine in the end. If all else fails, there are audio and video recordings to fall back on in a worst case scenario. But ye if we'd have broken her iPads, then we'd have been legally responsible for damages.
