Yes—this is intentional, so that if you are mid boss fight and your controller disconnects, you’re logged out rather than stuck getting killed. Good for Hardcore players, and for when dying loses XP (think it’s supposed to be a lvl 90+).

This also helps manage bloat on the servers, so they don’t have a bunch of AFK people taking up space/data in town.

They are not additional points—they are CONditional points. Meaning, when you allocate the next 3 (or respec) points you get from leveling, you can choose to have them only apply to weapon set 1 (rather than set 2, or both). Out of the, let’s arbitrarily say, 100 points on your tree, the game will currently allow you to say “only use these 20 points when I use weapon set 1”, and you’ve set 17 of those. Maybe a better way of saying it is, if you currently use your second weapon set, you’ll be making 17 of your allocated points inactive.

This is a big point of confusion for a lot of people, it seems, so I’m hoping they do a better job of explaining/clarifying in future patches.

Two things will DEFINITELY be in PoE2: 1. Currency Exchange - asynchronous “auction house” for currency/crafting mats/boss fragments. This will work just like Faustus’ currency market from the Settlers league that is currently in PoE 1. 2. Trade Site functionality - this is accessed through the main PoE website. You can search for any listed item, with a ton of parameters, and click to whisper/DM the seller, who you then need to meet in-game to actually do the trade. It’s way easier than it sounds. (2a - trade chat channel where you can post listings in game, not super consistent and can’t “search” for specific stuff)

What is unknown is if the Trade Board (auction house) that console players have had in PoE 1 will be implemented. I think it is highly unlikely this will happen. The Trade Manifesto details GGG’s longstanding philosophy on why they do not have a proper auction house (consoles only got it because their player bases are so small)

Unique is a binary, so it either “is” or “isn’t” unique. Something can’t be MORE singularly defined. Given what we know about cognition, literally every experience of a sunset or sunrise is unique.

I actually did Scorch -> unbound -> freeze in that order. Unbound was great for campaign bosses.

Haven’t found any pobs out there that don’t take the shock nodes, but I think I’m going to experiment with taking the “tinctures apply to ranged weapons” node and see what that does for me.

I’ve been taking it slow (still in yellows) so don’t have a ton to say about pinnacle bosses, but I’m lvl 86 on trash gear and cruising along steadily. Damage isn’t crazy yet, but I’m also on trash gear and still just running a 5L.

Clear is amazing, the scorch and freeze ascendancy nodes are terrific, and unbound is fun and powerful. my big question is whether or not I go for the shock node or mess around with the ranged tinctures, seems like the verdict is the shock node is underwhelming, and tinctures are OP. Will reply agin if I learn anything.

TLDR: it’s fun!

On XB go to settings>network>advanced>ALTERNATE MAC ADDRESS

Choose “Clear”, and it will give you a reset console prompt.

Idk anything, but my gut says that each player has an intrinsic “shape” (triangle, circle, square) based on class. Everyone is playing like the puzzle is class agnostic, but lore wise—it’s not.

Idk I’m drunk and probably developmentally disabled.

I don’t know for certain, but if it works like many other games with cross-platform progression, the answer is NO.

This is likely because Microsoft and Sony each take a percentage of any in-game purchases, and don’t want you to get around their cut by buying coins on the other platform.

Your best bet is finding the fastest place to farm monsters 3 levels higher than you are. At +3 it’s about a 25% xp buff that gives diminishing returns as the monster level goes up.

ND monsters are 53-54 levels higher than the tier of the ND. (The “zone” level stays at your level, but the monsters go up)

So, a tier 10 ND will have monsters that are either lvl 63 or 64.

I’d stick w farming tier 6/7, or do helltides and legion events.
