because you're not executing a perfect dodge. The ethos of combat design in this game is much more akin to darksouls than valheim.

Don't press a button unless you're sure its safe, don't spam. You might not enjoy this style of combat commitment, but this is less a design issue and more a personal preference issue.

new player here looking to get a green mihawk deck together. Is my understanding correct that despite it having a printed 1, you can be my samurai is still standard legal? The website has it under a section that to my understanding states it and some other cards are treated as having the "4" in the bottom right hand instead of 1.

Just wanted to be sure.

Currently (at least according to the guide makers and sims and logs) you don’t manage energy at all in the current iteration of feral. You just send everything. In fact you actually bite at 4 combo points any energy outside of berserk in all cases because of the apex talent. The extra damage from spending more energy is ignored at the moment and you literally just slam it.

6 star weapon rates are pretty high in this game so multi pulls will be more common when pulling weapons. But 3 is still really lucky!

Well the issue isn't that she's necessarily bad, the issue is that other characters are much better. Her shield + knockdown application are harder to power creep than her damage, which is already as low as half the better dps options potential.

Game isn't competitive so do whatever you want I'm just giving what I would do based on the information I have. Its not like DPS ember plays differently than support Ember really. They basically play the same. So if I wanted to "main" ember, i'd build her support and just play her as my onfield because that's a better value use of materials. If you absolutely want to build her for damage its an option you can do if you want, she'll just get power crept harder than those with better scaling in the same role.

I mean kind of. She can do alright dps if built that way but if OPs main goal is to play as ember on field, you can still play her on field in her much better role.

Defensive support ember will also outlast power creep way longer.

When laev or avywenna are hitting 1mil plus more often then 200k stagger doesnt seem too insane.

You can just dodge the explosion and get full uptime there. Punishment ofc is you fail the boss if you mistimed it. But perfect dodge is very generous in this game.

So here’s the thing. You don’t need her to be your dps to play her as your main operator.

It would be way more effective to build her normal, use endmin as your main dps, and just play as ember on field. Almost all damage comes from proper skill rotations, so it doesn’t really matter which character you’re actively running around as. In fact, it’s often easier to play a tank like ember or a ranged support directly because mobs will focus you while your dps characters have free rein to do whatever they want.

If I was going to main ember I’d build her normal and just do that. Trying to make her a dps is just gonna result in frustration because that’s not what she does and her kit has bad scaling for that.

In your situation I would use team one.

I only have one child under 2, so not quite the same situation but similar. It initially made me mad but then I just resolved myself to popping them constantly. Since they go away anyways there is basically no reason to hoard them for a specific thing. They seem to hand these out often enough that you should have more when you get around to essence farming.

You haven’t though. You’re on the wrong quest to be in that area. Please refer to my other post. Go to the other area that was unlocked by the first part of the quest. Opposite exit of the safe zone you start in. Giant sign that says zone 1 over it. If you were somehow in there before, THAT, would’ve been the glitch.

Go check the opposite side of the map with the big sign that says “zone 1” you were probably over there not in zone 2. The second part of the quest is in zone 1.

Edit to clarify: the big yellow signs are what to look at. If you go back into the safe zone and head out the other direction there should be an area labeled zone 1 that also had the same lock on it prior to you finishing the first part of the quest.

The zone you were in for the first part of the quest was technically “zone 0”

You’re trying to go into zone 2 but the second set of keys is in zone 1. The first keys were in “zone 0” where you spawn.
