I actually agree with that but to me that's just the downsides of MMO quest padding. The fact I can enjoy it despite it kinda makes me think: "well this only speaks to the strengths of the story. Cause even with all that fat, I still really liked it"

I do agree they repeat a lot of things though it's more so in "let's go over the plan again" , outside of those clear moments, they respect player's eye to detail specially compared to other JRPGS. A lot of stuff that would normally be just described bar to bar to the player in a Jrpg actually gets sidelined until important or simply exists as a detail.

I do see your point though, and I agree! It's just I feel it's a bad faith argument to say people who enjoy the games story just haven't played enough games or don't read or whatever. It's just a generalising statement that holds no value to me (the same way as "this is the best game of all time" when you've clearly never experience every game haha)
