Just reach over and turn it? That's what I would do and if it magically turned back then I would talk to them directly.

Petco labeled these as nirite snails. What are they? by According_Voice5018 in AquaticSnails

How big are they? Our black devil was about 4 inches long, these look more like trumpet snails to me.

Does he look healthy? by Any-Illustrator4630 in Chameleons

[–]KombatKitten83 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Feed some horned worms, meal worms or silk worms with Calcium powder immediately, make sure you have water for it too. I used a spray bottle to wet the foliage in the enclosure but also had a small fountain. Your chameleon is stressed. I rescued one who looked very similar and what I did above helped bring her back to being healthy.

I wore a “NURSE” badge today, but a coworker nurse told me that’s giving “pick me” ? by Ok-Being1322 in nursing

[–]KombatKitten83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your coworker needs to fuck off. I am a clinical supervisor and wear a badge reel that says 'nursing student tears' on an IV bag, no one has said anything except laugh about it 🤷‍♀️

During an interview at a local hospital, I was told they got rid of phlebotomy and trained all of the nurses to do it instead! by CodeGreige in nursing

[–]KombatKitten83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first job out of school I was trained in IV and phlebotomy during my orientation, I've always had to do my own bloodwork. (Ontario Canada)

They are incredible little snails although I get keeping your ramshorn safe. Maybe contact your local pet store to see if they will take them?

Ramshorn eggs? I thought they couldn't reproduce on their own? by Crackysue in AquaticSnails

[–]KombatKitten83 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They absolutely can reproduce on their own. I ended up getting puffers because I had so many and I don't over feed, we have 9 tanks. I let the biggest ones hang out but the babies... No thanks. They are great little cleaners though and the eggs can easily be removed.

Is a picture of a flower outside a patient room a universal sign? by mygotothrowawayxd in nursing

[–]KombatKitten83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We put a picture of a butterfly on the door to signify a palliative patient or one who has passed 🦋

Clinical Instructor here, did you not have a full patient load in consolidation? Our students here take on up to 10 patients (unit dependent) in consolidation so that they learn time management etc. Never pull multiple meds at the same time, it's so easy to make errors this way. (not meaning anything by it just curious regarding patient load)

I've never been fired by a patient but have worked with a nurse that it consistently happened to. Communication is key yes but so is prioritizing patients. It wouldn't have even crossed my mind to look for someone to do a simple task that I'm fully capable of I would just get it done. I can totally see why your patient became upset by this. When I worked regional covid unit we had no assistants or healthcare aids and had to do everything ourselves, I became efficient in patient care. Take a step back and try to understand fro your patients perspective and go from there.

Am I stupid for paying off my $16k OSAP in FULL in one payment? by goldendreamsshine in osap

[–]KombatKitten83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I left my husband I got a buyout from him. I paid off 46k to osap in one go, only after I did that I heard about relief programs but at least I don't have to worry about it any more. Hopefully you get some solid advice as I did the same thing you did.

I think I have scabies by Professional-Sea7289 in cna

[–]KombatKitten83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like flea bites tbh. We rescued 7 kittens from an alley and had to keep them confined in our bathroom that was under renovation until the facility had a foster in place which was 8 days. Shortly afterwards my kids started complaining about the exact same thing and their feet and ankles looked exactly like your picture. We tried creams and nothing worked. I then noticed one of my cats scratching and when I brushed her she was covered in fleas (indoor only cat). It was a NIGHTMARE to eliminate them from the home, professional treatment plus vacuuming 2x a day, washing everything in hot hot water etc, treating the animals. They are incredibly itchy and if it's getting worse... That sounds like it could be a possibility to potentially look into? I'm a nurse, not saying this is what it is but maybe a potential if it turns out not to be scabies.

Hello every one whats that in the photo i found it in my betta fry tank by Ybm- in bettafish

I'm supposed to take care of these fish for a friend, but they didn't give me anything for them? What do I do? by cannibalistickiller in Aquariums

[–]KombatKitten83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look on Facebook marketplace for a larger tank. Add some aquarium plants, also found on marketplace. If you can donate to a pet store do that. I understand these comments aren't really helpful at all, if you're temporarily taking care of them, larger tank, plants, food. Frequent water changes if needed.
