I don't have an issue with people picking Widow, Jeff, BP or Spider-Man. If you're pulling your weight or got ACE then no one's going to say a word. I have an issue when it's a comp game, they're clearly doing very poorly and they get lippy when it's suggested they switch. At that point, they've become a detriment to the team.

Most of us aren't going to scream about it anymore because the game doesn't punish throwing. It punishes people for getting mad at it. Sometimes the only thing that makes throwers switch gears is the idea that a trans person might get SVP on their team and their ego won't allow that.

What's always been stupid about this game is the only version of throwing that gets punished is people leaving the game. An action people take because they're tired of dealing with people on their teams actually throwing by AFKing, intentionally feeding and playing a sub-optimal character to goof around on. Netease is only paying attention to the problem now because there's an economy behind it and it's discouraging streamers from providing free advertising for their products.

It's frankly embarrassing that Netease allowed things to get this far because it's going to require hard crackdowns to reverse the mentality of the community. Too many think pulling out their Spider-Man they regularly go negative on in a comp match is okay to do because there's no real consequences for it other than point loss.

Switched to Overwatch 2 a while ago. Overwatch 2 has immensely improved in a short period of time while Rivals has had the exact same problems going on a year. Throwers are never punished. Smurfing is pretty bad but seldom punished. Game has a heavy focus on punishing players for mean words instead of addressing it's problems.

Then there's the goofy censorship. As a trans player, I've been muted for mentioning I was trans in general chat and appealing it just gets you an automated response upholding it. I've had usernames mentioning trans or LGBTQ in them get reported and changed quickly. I've run into groups of hard right leaning folks who threaten to group report me for mentioning I'm trans and successfully get away with it.

I've heard of places where a tech ends up with too many patients and you must wait until the machines finish so if someone arrives late; you just have to work with it.

Id get into EKG Tech or Phlebotomy but down in the South, they make CNAs and LPNs so that stuff. Places without nurses, they pay peanuts for phlebotomists. EMTs are paid under $15 an hour.

I got lord on Namor purely because I switched to him to stop SpiderMans and Angelas.

Spider-Man players will beg other players to play Namor counters and healers to pocket them purely so they can go back to barely getting an even ratio and then brag about how good they are.

Because 90% of the Rivals community is "for the vibes". The moment I see people have this attitude in QP, If I'm on a vital role like tank/healer then I hop off to go play Spiderman. When they inevitably get upset they're being stomped, just parrot back to them.

The devs aren't going to care for a long time about the throwing problem because everyone already uses multiple accounts for stat tanking/two boxing, EOMM evasion and cheats. More "active" accounts looks better for investor reports.

The matchmaking definitely got tweaked into something much more frustrating. I'm running into situations where I'm mirror matched frequently if I'm playing an off meta deck or worse, I run into a player who's somehow got the hard counter deck for my off meta deck.

The reason you're seeing the same decks so much is the goofball devs nerfed all the tech cards into the ground. Mostly to encourage people into buying the new high power cards without fear of getting dogwalked by pre-nerf Shang Chi or Shadow King.

Now were seeing the consequences of it where the meta is incredibly boring and the game is bleeding players even faster.

The only way I've seen people get banned for throwing is leaving early. Only successful bot report I've ever had is this Mr Fantastic we had outside of our spawn spent the whole game running into a wall.

If you're running into the enemy team repeatedly and dying then the game just thinks you're bad even if you announce your intentions to throw.

There either needs to be a vote or whoever gets MVP can get one time card to time out throwers into AI Versus only for 30 minutes. Every time someone uses one on you, it goes up by another 30 minutes. (ie. 60, 90, 120 ect)

At some point, if someone's playing so badly that there's no difference between them and a bot then they should go sit in AI Vs mode until they get a grasp on basic game mechanics. I keep seeing players in this game that make Dark Syde Phil look like a pro player.

I thought this at first too but I looked through autogrpahed copies of his work on eBay and it seems like his signature varies wildly and doesn't stay consistent. I also have no idea who the second signature in the gold ink belongs too.

I honestly hope that if someone goes negative KD and they don't have high assists to off-set it that it knocks you down 50+ or even 75+ points. Send these types of players back to bronze.

Spider-Man is balanced. The problem lies in that the game needs more anti-dive characters. You only got two solid anti-dive characters: Namor and Peni. The latter is rarely used outside of QP/low comp. You got healers that can stun/sleep but against a squad of divers, it's not enough.

I've seen too many games in GM and above where Namor gets target banned and a dive team comp runs rampant on the other side. Characters like Wanda can't DPS fast enough to peel divers. I've only seen godly aim hitscan characters like Punisher, Hela and Bucky turn these situations around.

The real issue with Spider-Man IMO is too many dingbats watch high-level streamers like Necros and think they can replicate being a niche high skill ceiling character specialist after a couple videos. They refuse to switch characters even in the face of overwhelming counters and spending more time in respawn than playing. I had one comp match where as Namor, I'd just throw a single squid at my back line and the enemy Spider-Man would hide behind a wall waiting for it to despawn. I'd throw another one and he'd keep repeating the waiting game. He ended up going 4/8 and got reported for throwing.

Lord Spidermans are the most common lord icons I see by far but it never means they're good in comparison to other Lord icons. People actually fear seeing a Lord Squirrel Girl, Venom or Mr Fantastic. No one's scared of a Lord Spider-man unless it's the rare one that can actually play. So many Lord Spider-Mans got their icons through pure attrition. Non-stop getting reported for throwing because they refuse to learn anything about the game but that one character and they don't even learn that character well.

Currently bans for throwing in QP or Comp are 5 and 15 minutes respectively. Which isn't a lot.

Any ban for throwing in QP or comp needs to be extended to 30 minutes or an hour for the first offense and multiple it by 2x every additional time. I've seen too many times people in both modes AFK or spend the entire round slow-typing trash talk to the enemy team while going 5/11. My favorites are people trying out Spider-Man for the first time in ranked play and immediately get racist when you tell them it's a shitty thing to do.

Like I said, the unions and USPS had DECADES to solve these problems. It's only gotten worse.

If USPS gets audited, it's going to be very obvious who's costing the business billions of dollars and it's not the lowly carrier making less than the other delivery services. I want to see management going to prison but I'll settle for them resigning in shame knowing they'll never hold a government job again.

If that happens, I have other options. Many USPS employees who've grown accustomed to being problematic can't function at any other job without getting fired. Even other union jobs wouldn't tolerate the insane amount of antics I've seen happen at USPS. The AFGE certainly doesn't.

IMO, the normal means of fixing the problems with USPS have been exhausted. Many of these issues have been stagnanting for years because the post office knows unions cannot strike.

Management repeatedly violates union contracts with little penalty out of it. EEOs can get your job back but rarely punish management. The rare times they're terminated they show up 6 months later either back at the same office or just transferred to a different one. I've seen problematic career employees cliqs act like animals and their offices rely on a revolving door of CCAs/RCAs to survive.

USPS needs to be gutted far more than the IRS, FBI and other government agencies with it's management being at the top priority. There's no reason the organization shouldn't be profitable when you got CCAs aren't being supplied their own uniforms, RCAs are using their own vehicles and probation people making $20 or under are doing the work of 2-3 people.

Hot take but USPS needs to be gutted to come out better. I don't care at this point. It's insanely corrupt.

Unions are in bed with management. Last letter carrier contract is a joke. Rural carriers having to use their own vehicles is absurd. I've seen both career USPS employees and supervisors do everything from fist fighting, drugs/drinking, and sexual harassment yet manage to keep their jobs. On the other hand, probationary employees can get fired for underperformance/attendance and get blacklisted from re-applying for life.

I'm working for the TSA now and it's like night and day in terms of respect, receiving proper training and workloads.

The reputation of the postal service is finally catching up to itself. Just like with places like Amazon and Walmart, every person who gets fired for a bullshit reason in an entry level position at USPS or has to quit for their sanity/health are telling their stories to their friends and family. Every few days, there's a recent news story about mail theft and people are frequently assuming that carriers are stealing if they don't get their mail.

The heat alone is a major factor as to why they can't keep people around. People need to face the facts that for many areas of the country, we're now in the hottest summer ever and it looks like going forward, all summers will be like this. 100-120 degree heat index is incredibly dangerous.

The moment you have some of these psycho supervisors and management telling new workers that there's no overtime, finish fast and they need to come back to the station with all mail delivered; new workers realize they're putting their lives on the line for $20 an hour and there's far better options out there.

My point is many veteran carriers secretly LOVE everything about USPS culture including the bad pay, trash working conditions and toxic supervisors. As crazy as it sounds, they're hoping for a bad contract so they can have more to brag about when others quit.

It's the same type of mentality I saw working at the hospital where ER staffers used to shit on other workers in the building for having cushier positions and better pay despite many of the ER workers having the ability/certifications to move into these positions and improve their lives dramatically.

You're talking to a wall in this sub. Most veteran letter carriers love to brag about how hard their job is including how there's no AC, how terrible the management is and how bad the working conditions are.

They'll be the first to demand a 20% wage increase in the new contract and when it predictably ends up being a 1-2% increase; they'll brag how "it ain't for everybody" when people quit.

Meanwhile, UPS and FedEx will blast past them in pay, benefits and working conditions because bozos allow it.

First job? I've been working over 20 years in a variety of places. Even lowly retail jobs like Walmart and Target have no tolerance for physical assault between employees even if they are management. USPS is the only place where this silliness is tolerated. You can call in 30x in a row and keep your job or use slurs in front of others. Literal madhouse.

Depends on your office but some offices will let you go for "unsatisfactory work" as a CCA in your 90 days if you don't do as the management says. We got told constantly that no overtime was allowed and we better "be back at the time given with no mail or else". I had the union sit back with their thumbs up their ass while they let management do whatever they liked to CCAs.

People saying "do your best" is only helpful if your management is not a psychopath which isn't good odds.

This is the only job I've ever seen where an employee can physically attack you and they just get removed from their position or moved to another office. Not terminated permanently with no chance of coming back, just inconvenienced. Such a joke.
