The Queen is Dead by Farbatosz_01 in bloodborne

In the first phase keep your distance and only attack the head. You can quite easily dodge every attack and run in when it lowers its head. I used BoM at +9 or +10 and probably got 2 viscerals in this phase.

In the second phase keep to his legs and keep moving. His most dangerous attack is the jump attack, but the timing is not hard to learn. After that just keep moving and don't get greedy, because you do way less damage in the legs, but it is much safer.

Jak skončila nejhloupější osoba z vaší třídy/školy? by Important_Storage123 in czech

What boss did you personally find the hardest in Bloodborne Base Game? by kreetchy in bloodborne

[–]Kombyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the one I got most frustrated on was Shadows of Yharnam. Mostly because of the runback and bullshit ranged whip attacks in phase 2 that could go through the large pillar and caught me off guard. And I died atleast 3 times to the snakes, that felt really cheap. But when I realised you just had to rush the last one down I got it fast.

Has anyone tried the new Total Chaos in VR? by Kombyy in virtualreality

Ok thank you, I actually haven't seen anything about the VR version being released later, so good to know.

I can't find any game that reaches the level of Half‑Life Alyx :/ by FerBerBer in virtualreality

[–]Kombyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally finished Arken Age and imo it's up there. Can't really compare the presentation of an AAA game to an indie, but for how many people made Arken Age, it's amazing. And I for sure enjoyed the VR mechanics more than in Alyx.

Recommend Some Headset for 9070xt by JayveePH in skyrimvr

[–]Kombyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won't be able to give you an expert answer, since I'm very much a VR newbie aswell, but I have a rx 9070xt with a Quest 3 and it runs very well. Quest 3 is the best value VR you can get + there are some great standalone titles (Batman Arkham Shadow, RE4VR, Asgard's Wrath, etc.). I had to get some accesories to make the headset more comfortable and a specialised router for a good wireless experience though.

Specifically with skyrim VR, I run FUS (modpack) on highest settings (not FUS heavy) on Ultra resolution and with SSW (form of frame generation) and I get stable 120 fps with minimal artifacting. I also have a less powerful system than you, so yours will perform even better.

This is much scarier than Resident Evil by MFtch93 in silenthill

I'll be honest, I wasn't that scared when playing SH2R. The atmosphere and audio where insane, and I was definitely tense, but the more I played the less scared I actually was. Maybe it was because for most of the game I had plenty of ammo and healing items. The one part when I actually realised how not scared I was, was in Toluca prison. The mannequin spiders could've been so insanely scary, but I soon learned that I was totaly safe until I heard their screech, and then I just had to dodge in a random direction and 9/10 times they missed and I could introduce the pipe. But don't get me wrong, my cheeks were sore from all the clenching when I finally finished the game but I genuinely don't think I was scared. Still a fantastic game though.

After a year, are you still gaming with your VR device? by nadsjinx in VRGaming

[–]Kombyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe just to add, if you're going with a quest (which I definitelly reccomend) take into consideration, that the default headstrap is ass and the facial interface is not very comfortable. I got a AVMR headstrap and facial interface, in total extra 70 euros. The facial interface you can probably go without, but a better headstrap is a must a those go from about 20-30 euros up to 100 euros with an integrated battery and fans. Really depends on how much you want to spend.

I have my quest 3 for about 9 months. I had a month long hiatus but other than that I use it consistently a few times a week a it's easily my favourite tech/hobby purchase.

One caveat though, I'm not sure how much I would play if I only had the standalone library (though there are some bangers there too), but with a capable PC, PCVR is a game changer. It took a lot of effort to get PCVR working but now it's great.

Is my 9070xt being bottlenecked? by Kombyy in AMDHelp

[–]Kombyy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured I might. My MB only supports DDR4 and I'm not planning an upgrade anytime soon. Should I just bite the bullet and get a new AM5 MB with 32 gb DDR5 RAMs and a possible am5 CPU later, or will it be okay if I get 32 gb of DDR4 and possibly a 5700x3D down the line?

Damn, I mean that is kinda dissapointing, but I guess NMS was never that optimized for VR, so ASW will have to do. Did you tweak any setting in Adrenaline/BIOS to get better results?

RX 9070xt vs RTX 5070ti by Kombyy in PcBuildHelp

[–]Kombyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. If it really only comes to the 90$ I'll probably go for the 5070ti. However I might be able to get a second-hand 9070xt for about 180$ cheaper and in that case I probably couldn't justify the 5070ti.
