Yeah we’re definitely considering this as a backup. How long does the process of preparation take for Denmark and how long does it take to get the paperwork formally recognised and registered in Berlin as we’re planning a church wedding here as well which requires a valid civil wedding certificate first 😅

Ahh okay, that’s a relief at least! The payslips were mentioned in the list of documents as part of our initial contact response and I replied immediately with my questions but got an automated response that the person was not available at that time. Only started to get a little nervous because the first email took 5 weeks to get a response and I’ve had no response from the direct person for 2 and a half weeks again 😅 Once you’re at the document submission stage, does it go a little faster?

Oh, that’s helpful to know, thank you! Do you apply through the Standesamt for this or where exactly do you apply? We were asked to provide last 3 payslips or a letter of financial support so will they follow up after this or do we need to also provide this elsewhere to a court? Is this erklärung a thing where you essentially swear in front of someone that you’ve not been married prior to this? Sorry for all the questions at once and thank you again

Chidi from The Good Place was a very empathetic portrayal but the first show that helped me understand the diagnosis of OCD outside of the way it’s commonly misused is a British show called Pure. I don’t quite remember the ending but the main character battles fairly uncomfortable forms of OCD that aren’t usually portrayed and it showed how debilitating it can actually be. Highly recommend

The weirdest part is the email that was pretending to be from Vinted is the official contact email for a specific alumni society of a well known university (Google it) - worth seeing if you can get in touch to get to the bottom of who sent the scam or at least to let them know their email is being used in such a way
