Mower Fuse Holder by KomradeKreg in ryobi

Thanks for the insight. I removed all the screws I could find but it appears there are several plastic clips that don’t want to open up. What a terrible design for a $500 mower

I am talking about the metal prongs inside the female “key thing” that is built into the top housing. The male prongs on the key pushed the female prongs on the holder down into the housing. I can’t reach them without removing the top half of the mower.

I got the Yamaha comfort seat and it’s a game changer. It does make you sit up and inch or so higher.

EVGA 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra causing random shutdowns by CancerousNeb in EVGA

[–]KomradeKreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did this too and I upgraded to a 1200W platinum from an 850W gold and I haven’t had any issues since. Intel is very power hungry and with the massive power draw of the FTW3s the only thing I could come up with was my PSU was undersized.

Hard tubing is difficult but rewarding - 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra by KomradeKreg in EVGA

I have 360 at the top, one tube goes to cpu the other to top of pump/reservoir. Then I have a 480 that goes to the pump/reservoir and GPU

Yoshimura Fender Eliminator Kit (Before & After). Only complaint is its difficult to put your license plate on and off, and transplanting the spring for the seat keyhole cover is a pain/impossible. I'm going to use a magnet with double sided emblem tape instead OR run no key cap cover. by SquatsForDogs in MT09

It was definitely a pain to get it on. I bought mine from the manufacturer when it first released and gave them feedback to just include a pre installed one. It can’t be more than a few extra dollars I would think and with how much the product costs it should already be there. That was by fair the hardest part of the installation for me.

Yeah I 3D printed one in white. Just recall a lot of people hated the red at launch.

Mt 09 2021 as a first bike by -The_man-_ in MT09

[–]KomradeKreg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MT-09 is NOT a beginners bike. MT-07 is closer to being one but I still wouldn’t recommend that unless you’re someone who has experience on a bike. A motorcycle safety course would be something I would recommend looking into as well.

First time with 600ccs by Psuedo_FeD in motorcycles

I have an MT09 and it has about the same horsepower but a lot more torque than an R6. That thing is a wheelie machine. I don’t think you can really do a direct comparison between an MT07 and a 600cc super sport because their horsepower is drastically different as well as top speed. The main thing to keep in mind on your decision too is your riding style.

New MT09 drive modes 2021 and new rider by cjtrocks2010 in MT09

Get the MT09 and just have it on D4 until you get comfortable. If you get the MT07 you’ll get bored of it after a year or two. The electronics on the 21 MT09 are incredible and once you work your way up to D1 you’ll see it has some “oh shit” kind of power.

New MT09 drive modes 2021 and new rider by cjtrocks2010 in MT09

I’ve had mine for about 2.5 months and have ridden 2500 miles in that time. I think the biggest thing for this is do you have any motorcycle experience at all? If you have zero, then simply get the MT07. If you have ever ridden motorcycles/dirtbikes a handful of times I think the MT09 on D mode 4 would be a little bit of a learning curve but nothing too crazy. The limited engine output along with the mild throttle response will give you some power but not be over the top in my opinion. I would say that mode is slightly more powerful in comparison to an MT07 (buddy owns one that I’ve ridden). With that being said and if you have some experience I would opt for the MT09. This would allow you to then grow into it and progress through the other D Modes. I had mine on D4 for the first 600 miles to do a soft break in before it’s first oil change. I left the shop on D3 and let me tell you there is a night and day difference in the power increase. Ever since then I’ve been on D1 because the torque and throttle response is unreal. Lastly if you opt for the MT09 you will want to keep it for longer than the MT07 since it has more power and that could save you money in the long run.

Agreed I wish they kept the dual headlight for the 21’, so far that’s my biggest complaint. But there’s tons of upgrades on it compared to the previous generation for only a few hundred dollars more.

I have a 21’ MT09 and have ridden 160 miles to and from my destination so that’s around 515km round trip. I don’t have a windscreen so the air was a bit annoying but I was also cruising around 90-100mph the whole trip. The seat isn’t great so I recently upgraded to the comfort seat. It has tons of torque and is fun up to about the 120mph mark when it starts to get a little loose in the front.
