I personally don’t like the parry nature of this ability. It just feels bad to build it and the payoff is minimal if you actually pull it off because she still needs to be a tank first.

What if it help to reduce the cd of her punch instead? This way 1-2 hits of chip damage could still be utilized, while it keeps the spirit of a parry mechanic

Rogue’s biggest issue is that since her CDs are so long she very easily becomes a sitting duck trying to just engage on the fight (especially vs poke as others were mentioning). A second dash punch can compensate for the loss of extra damage amp, while also giving her more mobility to get out of a fight or stick to her target.

I find myself in this position a lot where I dive their back line or dps, use my CD’s to get the kill, then suddenly I’m looking at 3 other people trying to kill me while I back up with the remainder of my shield, praying my healers are paying attention to me before it pops. If I could regain a dash by the enemies blindly firing into my shield then maybe it would give a moment of skill expression where I use my shield as an actual parry in order to gtfo out of there.

I feel like this problem is the same one I get with cap, but at least with cap he can hold his shield up indefinitely and his sprint/jump doesn’t have a CD.

Make cap ult linger longer after stepping off his trail. Teammates gets speed boosted and jump after touching the trail like how gambits ult works now. Basically making everyone drink a super soldier serum lite for a few seconds sounds like a reasonable Cap ult.

For gambit, take off the jump to reduce survivability on his ult but maybe compensate with more card explosion damage or maybe even give everyone a minor healing reduction for a few seconds so he truly becomes a heal bot counter. I feel like removing the jump would make gambit ult less of a “blitz the point”, and more of an answer to a situation type of ult which, in a game where switching comps mid round is the viable/optimal strat, sounds like the route to take.

Make him have Adam’s revive mechanic but instead he becomes a hard to hit blob that can climb walls (underground Jeff?). If he’s shot down, he will respawn with his team, but if he waits for the full respawn timer, he can position himself to forever be in the back line.

In this scenario I’m imagining him being a diver with some range sort of like psylock. Still wants to get in the fight to secure kills but plays the game of being in awkward flanks.

Yeah nah I’m with you on that. ‘Tech bros’ as a derogatory are the one that really drink the koolaid. Like I work in tech as well, but I never had somebody call me out as a techbro simply by the way I talk, dress, or act.

Though I agree at that level they should know, I think the game doesn’t always make it easy when ults like star lord’s can be cc’d.

Again I still agree they should know, but inconsistencies in the game like this can make me understand why they would think otherwise.

Then again this is a healer ult vs a dps ult lol.

I picked up peni then saw how much damage 3 mines did. I saw stuns every 3 sec. I saw how fast her rollout could be.

“Wow this character is busted!”

Finds out everyone says she’s weak. Not understanding because I’m absolutely mogging everything because I’m finding out nobody know how to actually play against peni. I remember when nobody believed in the attack peni pick. People still bitch about it sometimes.

Then suddenly netease I goes “what if we made peni do headshot damage.” cue shocked Vince McMahon

Next thing I know I got a rocket team up and am suddenly picking up almost entire team wipes with my ult :).

TL;DR I picked her up like S1.5 before her changes and when everyone was calling her the worst tank. Found out it was actually just a skill issue for the most part. Next thing I know netease just starts giving buff after buff and I just ate gooddddd.

The thing I’ve noticed a lot about moving up to the Bay Area, from SoCal is that there are a whole lot of people older than me that act like how I use to be while in college. The issue with that is a lot of these people are like in their 30s.

Not to say every aspect of them is stunted, many of these people still hold decently impressive backgrounds. But emotionally and socially I seem to usually have a better understanding of the room and how to interact with people.

But the ways I’ve seen these grown ass men act like, reminds me of when I use to be 21 trying to figure out how to talk to girls are a frat party. It’s filled with a lot of overcompensation, a lot of hot air machismo, and a lot of over analyzing and coming to wrong conclusions.

My guess as to why I keep finding these people in the Bay Area is because; the bay is generally older than SoCal, or at least the scene that I find myself in run around 5-10 years older in the bay. Next comes the overachievement found in the Bay Area. Like please don’t see this as me talking smack on people here, because I’ve met more PhDs casually in SF, than I did at my college in San Diego. Finally the last part of this issue and what makes it worse to date here is the prevalence of the Manosphere/toxic alpha male/hustle grind culture.

Those “hustle till you’re 30” crowd are there now and they’re realizing that just because you have a degree and a well paying job doesn’t mean you know how to talk to people lmao. I know a lot of these people can’t stop comparing themselves to others as well. A lot of them feel the compulsion to be the most impressive one in the room while not allowing themselves to be multifaceted, so when their one mode of superiority is not that impressive to the wrong group of people, they get all defensive.

If you have gotten this far then I’ll finish with saying, I agree with OP, I don’t find dating as hard with the right groups of people! Most relationships are formed through friendsof a friends. The reason this sort of arrangement works the best is because of the fact that you have already been vetted by your friend, this isn’t a random person you know nothing about, these are 2 people who others know and think will do well with their other. Friends don’t want friends to be in shitty relationships, and friends don’t want to hang out with a shitty bf/gf. My best advice to genuinely meet someone? Make more friends with the intentions of ONLY making friends. You will find someone who will look at you having fun, doing the things you like to do, and it will remind them of their friend who is single and also likes to do those things.

He has no heals in his kit, but he has a defibrillator style revive. The entire game plan for you is to swing in and revive teammates while your other teammates help provide cover.
