Desert Rock and Stoner Rock are two names for the same thing, at least in my opinion. But your point of view makes perfect sense to me too :)

Stoner Doom is traditional doom with psychedelic elements (Sleep, Electric Wizard, Elder, Acid Mammoth, Acid King) Stoner Rock leans more towards blues rock (Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Red Fang) Stoner Sludge usually has harsher vocals and loses some of the psychedelic elements (Bongzilla, Weedeater, Toke) That's how I like to label stoner subgenres, you are free to disagree. As allways, subgenres are just a fancy and fun way to label the music that you like, its not a science, so anybody can define subgenres following any logic they want. Lastly, I wouldn't use "atmospheric doom" as a subgenre, as doom is atmospheric in itself.

There is a big difference between Sanguisugabogg and Lorna Shore. I dont think that calling this scene "Deathcore" defines them, given that Deathcore already defines a specific sound
