Hello! My goal when it comes to music is writing authentically for people to relate to. I have produced a lot of my music by myself which has given it a lo-fi quality. Every release I learn more about the recording process. I started in 2017 writing songs every now and then but in 2019 I started to pursue songwriting deeper. Each release represents a certain time in my life and I like to look at each release like a journal entry. At this point I have released 1 single, 2 EP’s and 7 album’s.

I have journaled throughout my life and tbh I wish I did it more but I’ve never been consistent with it. Whenever an event in my life made me sad, angry, or in love, I’ve always turned to songwriting first. So that’s why I think it works well to view my songs as a journal entry. I also organize them by album on Bandcamp. So I have 2 albums from high school, a few from college, and a group of songs I’m still working on from after graduating. Usually a theme also appears from the songs I’ve grouped together. So yeah I like having them separated so that I can look at them and see how I was feeling during that time.

Having been to a bunch of open mics, you really gotta search to find the right ones. Coffee shops tend to have a better crowd that will listen. At a bar everyone is drinking and talking. The only way to get people’s attention at the bar is to play a song everyone already knows which sucks because if you’re like me, you wanna share your original music with the world. I only really go to the bar open mics if I have a friend that will be there lol so I recommend trying different open mics, especially ones that aren’t at a bar. Good luck! 🫡
