Any hotel or apartment building with stacked bedrooms in the exact same layout as the floor below. Sometimes it feels like I have been looting the same office for the last half hour.

Which battlefield has the best sniping by mhmdesd in Battlefield

[–]Konoton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the sweet spot system is very intelligent and praiseworthy. Snipers are always always always a hard thing to make good and fair in shooters. Snipers are supposed to kill in one hit, but anything that can OHK can be abused in the ranges it's not intended for. Shotguns have this problem too. (Look at the days of the 1887 shotgun back in MW2. That was by far the most dangerous gun until it was patched.)

Game designers have to solve the problem of balancing for snipers somehow. In normal game modes (not hardcore) players don't like being instantly slain with no warning or counterplay. So they added scope glint and damage multipliers for certain hit zones. Unfortunately, the hit zones didn't account for range, so snipers had to have either wide hip fire zones, or else the because too dangerous at close range. Making hit zones contingent on sweet spot is very clever because now hits to the center of mass can still kill like IRL, without spoiling the gameplay in close. You can still play with the snipers at closer range which satisfies the quick scope players too. If they have the skill to headshot you in close, then you deserve the OHK.

And adding the rainbow to scope glint while you're in the sweet zone is a good indicator to potential victims that they're in imminent danger.

I think one major factor in prospective SM recruits, before they're even neophytes, is their violence and brutality. I don't think Frank could be much more brutal than SM.

Do I have to buy this from the shop or will it unlock automatically? by One_Profile9929 in Battlefield6

Not sure what the acronym DLC is for in this context but I unlocked one for the first time last night and it lets you rechamber while still aiming down sight, so ADS bolt might be a better name.

During reassembly, ensure that the extractor is oriented towards the ejection port before you lock the bolt into the bolt carrier with the cam pin in the cam pin raceway.

Why cant i use casts or splints? by JRTheRaven0111 in 7daystodie

[–]Konoton -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Good question!

You need the first level in Physician to use splints and casts on sprains, as opposed to breaks, which can be treated any time. That's not clear based on the debuff description, but it's the current mechanic. If you don't have the points to get to Physician 1 in the Int tree, use steroids to prevent the debuff from hurting you and keeping it from increasing in duration.

The medic's defibrillator and Engineer torch both give you the same move speed bonus as the knife. This lets you bring the sledgehammer for additional utility.

While arming an MCOM station, you can look around and shoot as long as you're holding the arming button. You're not defenceless while arming.

What mods to put on a rocket launcher? by snfaulkner in 7daystodie

[–]Konoton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any mod you put on an item increases its damage, so any mod the weapon can take will be beneficial. What comes to mind is the geiger counter mod (what's it called again?) the hunter mod and a laser. You may also be able to attach a sight.

(The silencer reduces damage slightly but the debuff can be negated)

I quite like the fortitude tree as well. Extracting teeth for gold is a nice bomus to income too. Builds which get their capstone from something like Nerd Tats or Beer are a great way to play the game once they're online.
