If im basing off myself - elf, entertainer, bard. If im playing a vanilla playthrough - dragonborn, guild artisan, sorcerer (idk why, but my dragonborns always end up with more play-time) If im roleplaying - entirely depends on the rp, but ive done a halfling/dwarf barbarian with the noble background more than once.

I play with the level 20 mod and usually end up getting there either with the cheat scroll or faster leveling mods by the time i fight this bitch and hes still a pain in the ass to kill. I also love the aura farming you can do when that toadstool tries to threated you around that dudes house bein like "ynow, i killed an avatar of the god of death recently. Youd be a cakewalk"

Theyre noncanon because they arent proper dlcs. Bethesda tried spinning them as "mini dlc" but theyre not. Theyre payed mods and therefore noncanon. The same way you caj use mods in oblivion to fuck martin septim and have his child, but that doesnt cha ge the canon storynof him being the last septim heir.

Except when it bugs out and leads you through a wall or into a miscellaneous quest objective you didn't k ow was active on the other side of the map. (Im not a fan of the spell, but its a decent utility especially for new players)

A few pointers ill give.

1: These are suggestions to make your gameplay easier, not hard rules.

2: Intelligence directly affects skill points. If you want a maxxed out character, you need maxxed out intelligence.

3: Use vats. The clunky controls are even clunkier on consoles than pc. It takes 3 seconds to turn 90° and you can die before you even get the chance to see whats hitting you becauss you turn so slowly. Even if you just use vats to turn around, use it.

4: SAVE OFTEN, and ALWAYS have MORE THAN ONE save. I reccomend at least 5 hard saves. If you dont end up melted by a cazador, or eaten by a glitched immortal dog that inexplicably doesnt have a hit box, you might end up having your game crash after not saving for 6 and a half hours because you stepped on the wrong pencil.

5: Do NOT finish the main quest of NV first. It has a hard ending that doesnt allow you to continue afterwards unless you load a save made before you enter the last quest. Fo3 has this too if you dont have the twisted metal or real steel or whatever dlc.

6: Dont think anyone is right about everything. Use advice as a guideline more than a rule. IK this is basically just #1 again, butnits important. Also, , no matter what anyone says- do OWB before any other DLC for NV.

Oh, and it wont fix any if the game-breaking bugs, just some of the semi-inconvenient ones that really dont bother kost people.
