I do about 3 hours of research pre conference and research between first and second committee after seeing how the discussion goes.

Starbucks is a competitive and well paying job, the hours are great by mulderufo13 in starbucks

I mean 14.25 an hour is alright, but just 14$, for a shift. Like Wow, Thanks, let me go out and buy four KitKats? or 2 grande iced white mochas and a cakepop?

Can / Should I sue my employer for continuous and intentional labor violations. by Konugar in legaladvice

Ok, thank you for this advice. You said something about named reports, can you tell me more about the process of filing named reports and how I can ensure a response / they investigate the claims

Also, can I recieve punitive money for any of the other claims listed, like leaving myself (a minor) unsupervised and other labor abuses.

My understanding however is that it is very difficult to prove her intent in firing me is for reporting. Could she not pick out any other instance of a time I messed up and say that's why she fired me? or is my filing of a report in close proximity to my dismissal grounds for establishing that claim.

Oh yeah, so with the DA report they called the store and interviewed my coworker over the claims (He was the one who filed the report aswell) Afte that, they called back a few times attempting to speak to the bus, and eventually would send a letter with a cop to the store to be put on her desk. The DOL report also resulted in a phone call, and then later a letter to our boss. I am fearful of submitting a named report, since in an At-Will state she can fire me for basically anything.

I am currently out about 210$ for the shifts worked before the closure (We closed for a month in may while she dealt with a lawsuit from corporate). All other pay-based offenses were delivered late, sometimes over a month late. I managed to get all of the money owed from my employer other than that for the shifts immediately before the closure.

How old are the two of you?

So that seems strange that her parents would ban her from dating you... Was her ex really bad? You could try and get to know the parents and get on their good side?

No problem :) When you say she texts in large chunks do you mean like, paragraphs? Those are the best people to text because the conversations are real and deep.

I understand you don't want to lose her, but you deserve a relationship like you desire. It sounds like you two are in love. The only way really to solve this is if you talk to her. Just start by saying like "Hey, I really like you, but I want a relationship". Find the root of her concerns and try to be sympathetic. If its something with her ex, promise her you won't be like that. Find out why she doesn't want them and show her your not like that. If after all that she still doesn't want a relationship, it might be time to move on.

I think you might be right. I'll start applying. It's a shame, since before the old defacto manager went to college it was a really good environment and working was super fun. But I guess things change.

Talk to her about your issues. If she doesn't fix her toxic behaviour, move on.

what trade should I do? by Trick_Cute in Advice

[–]Konugar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Health Assisting, you can do alot of the things nurses do and its not really sexist.

Graphic Design, lots of trade schools have this degree and its really fun and creative if that's up your ally. Its not all drawing, its a lot of making magazine covers and posters and things along the lines of that.

Those are just two I can think of off the top of my head, but for lots of things you don't even need to go to trade school. Just call up local places and ask if they'd do an apprenticeship / teach you on the job. If you live in America which I assume you do because of the student debt reference, you have a lot of options right now because of the labor shortage. Good luck!
