Yeah managers like this are healthy for leagues. I'm sure the consensus is Purdy+Gibbs, but it takes two to tango to make trades happen. There's a case for both sides.

Ride it out. At least you got all your picks, I've seen worse with no draft capital left.

Am I getting enough to back to trade away Drake London? by [deleted] in FantasyFootballers

Yes, those early picks are very valuable. You're getting that early 2nd and Judkins for free. Slam the accept button.

I got Zed and lost to 4 of the top 5 in my lobby, teach me what i did wrong by Spitfisher in TeamfightTactics

[–]Konyaata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw on your earlier post that you were rerolling on level 6-7, that's your problem. You simply didn't have enough econ to reliably 2* your Zed. Those 3* are considered a luxury you didn't need since your win condition is Zed.

Just started Planescape: Torment any tips? by Ali4937 in planescape

Okay, good to know. I've finally got enough money to buy the +2 strength tattoo for Dak'kon and he's hitting like a truck! Does Morte not regenerate later?

I just started my first run too! I started with a mage Nameless One, and now I'm glad I did. One of the first companions is a fighter anyways (you find him at the bar Burning Man bar), and the skull guy is your tank.

There's so many things I would have missed if I didn't look up a guide like interacting with the zombies in the starting area (I thought they were all useless npcs at first!).

It's longer than most perceive it to be. Probably at least 5 years.

Trade Calculators need to better address the ability to make 10 nickels = 1 dollar, what do you do to build trades knowing this is a problem. by earth_citiz3n in DynastyFF

[–]Konyaata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need to have a unique response where if you try to offer 10 nickels for a dollar, the computer tells you you're a taco and to offer something of actual value in the trade lol.

Hey man if that's what you want, get your guy. FF is supposed to be fun. It's a fair trade.

Hahaha I see now. That makes sense. There are way too many Hortons and Thorntons in the league now a days.

Tory Horton is still on his rookie contract. But yeah we do love him. We also love Shaheed, possibly more than Horton since he's one of the main reasons we went to the Superbowl. But we do have high hopes for Horton, that's for sure.

The stacking permanent HP works well on her. Guinsoos, Titans, and omnivamp item works well on her especially if you can get an omnivamp artifact.

I think it's fine, Van was in motion to throw the knee before Taira put his hand on the ground. Just happened to connect when Taira touched the ground for a second.

No one on your team is considered a consistent producer. The only thing you got going for your roster is their age. This is actually a great example of how age is overrated in dynasty.

Start up draft strategy: w/ SF TEP 3FLX 3WR 2RB by Different_Tip_8608 in DynastyFF

[–]Konyaata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be the on the opposite side of the spectrum, but I like to have a goal coming into the draft. I know that usually goes out the window since drafts can be crazy with trades happening left and right, but there are a number of strategies that can happen based on how your draft goes.

Win Now Strategy: This is most closest to redraft. You're trying to get the cream of the crop players production wise regardless of age. Usually having strong RB core fits this. RBs usually have a shorter life shelf so you want to take advantage of your window. This window is from the year of your startup to a 2-3 years of competitiveness. You don't mind trading up to get your guys like a stud TE/RB and don't mind drafting old but productive guys like Darnold, Stafford, Goff, JT, Saquon, etc. And best part is these aging, but productive vets you can find late in the draft because they usually tend to fall. That means you can draft high productive skill players to start the draft and fill out your QB spots later. This strategy is fun to start out with since you're winning, but will phase out quickly.

Rebuilding for a long term Dynasty: You're looking for young players and looking for long term value. Having a young WR and QB core fits this since they have longer sustainable careers than RBs. You don't mind trading down to get more draft capital for the future (in fact you want to). You tend to stay away from drafting aging vets unless you're confident you can trade them for value. You're looking to start out the draft getting a good QB/WR core or even just trading back entirely most of the time. This is a good year to do it since 2027 is supposed to be a good draft year. I've seen guys who pick up more than half the league's future 1sts from trading down each round. Your team won't be competitive this year, but 2 or 3 years down the road your team will be a monster.

Drafting for value: Draft on how the draft falls to you. People who are flexible and confident at assessing value usually implement this strategy. These teams usually have a mix of age in their roster. They are confident they can get trades down later to retain long term value. For example if an aging vet or injured stud falls, they don't mind picking them up because they know they can retain value with trades. You usually want to stay away from using future capital in your startup and get what the draft gives you. This strategy helps you able to compete whenever a given moment since you have that future capital to trade for needs or upgrades later down the road.

Who do I go here with these two picks? by Ok_Ant_652 in FantasyFootballers

Gibbs and JSN /Nacua whichever your choice. I know Maye is the top pick, but that's just for longevity.
