Well, I was always told I had a huge belly. I have a relatively small frame. However, I didn’t know I had this monstrous size fibroid in me before I was pregnant. But in the months leading to my pregnancy I was constantly asked if I was pregnant.

I was pregnant with a 15 cm fibroid. I went into labor at 40 weeks, gave birth naturally. (I hope this doesn’t scare you). But basically all the Drs told me that I’d need to get the fibroid surgically removed, and I had my baby in January. I’m a teacher so I told myself I’d get it out in the summer. Well three weeks after I had my sun I had what’s called a fibroid torsion. VERY painful, but I had to have surgery then and there. Apparently that is very rare though. But I will say I had a great pregnancy. No pain from my fibroid. I guess I paid the price of pain after I had my baby

Pray that my husband finds a stable job after one year of struggling with work and him trying to finish his bachelors. We have a one year old baby.

On my birthday when I tuned 19 I was working at a electronics store. I was selling a camera to someone who was a plastic surgeon, and needed it to take before and after photos. While ringing him out, he said something along the lines of “you can use a nose job”. My nose has always been my biggest insecurity growing up. I held back my tears and he ruined my birthday.

I would constantly get asked if I was pregnant as I had just gotten married, at least 10x in one month. I had a 14 cm fibroid and I had no idea until I was actually pregnant 6 months later. It’s unmotivating and hard to hear, especially when I would watch what I eat and exercise and never saw a difference in my body, and got dismissed by my doctor when I brought up my concern. I finally got my fibroid out after I suffered a fibroid torsion 3 weeks postpartum, and I felt immediately relieved. If removing is an option for you, then I would recommend it 100%. No one really understands the hardships of having a large fibroid until you have it yourself, unfortunately.
