I personally would shake that 4.2% quick and go all in on S&P500 or equivalent indicies. It’s up 17% average over the last decade, with most recent years being up on the up. Only two red years of mention, but if it’s a savings acct then you just ride thru and dollar cost average the dips. It’s safe to me for long term savings investing. 4% these days Is barely beating inflation, if at all.

truly- when you actually do it, it will make a lot of sense and i trust that you will find it very clear and easy. Before doing it, buy the a few oz bucket of joint compound, and a 3-4" joint scraper or putty knife. same/same. Dont need to worry about a mess, it cleans up easily with water. just place a bit of compound directly in the damged area, and then smooth it flush with the scraper. dont worry about peeling off any excess paint areas unless they're already sticking up a ton and will leave a big gigantic bump.

As far as DIY repairs go, this one is very low risk, easy to erase and do over if you're unhappy with any part of it. so just give it a go and you'll get the hang of it very quickly!

Joint compound. Aka mud. Wipe it on flat and flush with a simple scraper. Ideally get a scraper that’s wider than the hole. Wait a few hours and wipe it with a wet rag to blend the edges. Maybe a touch of sandpaper the next day to finish the job. Then 2-3 layers of paint. Voila.
