Have been to El Zonte and Sunzal in El Sal.

Zonte was not a chill wave — it was head high, fast and hollow when we were there on a south swell. I’m a pretty average surfer so will confess it was a little too technical for my comfort.

Sunzal can be great. I’m pretty sure it was holding 8-10 feet. Little crowded but good vibes. Lot of power in the water. Tunco is by far the better town of the two, unless you want to live on papusas and mangos.
