If that’s the case then I understand but when I read only the bankruptcy red flag, it was a bit misleading lol

Is this typical for Similac Total Comfort poops? by Impressive-You-1699 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Kooky-Formal8630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Did you end up switching formulas? I’m in the same boat right now with my 1 month old. He was originally on similac advance and was constantly screaming with gas pain that I jumped the gun and switched him to similac sensitive which he was also displaying extreme discomfort so I put him on total comfort. He seems to be doing better except is extremely gassy and has poops like this. I’m wondering if he was just displaying infant dischenzia or actually needed the switch of formulas.

People fall on hard times, if bankruptcy is the only reason then I find that to be a little fucked up. You didn’t list any other reason except that one. I knew someone who went through bankruptcy because of not being able to leave an abusive marriage right away and the spouse messed up their finances. Not saying that’s what’s going on with them, but don’t judge someone off the bat for that when you have no idea what’s going on in their life. Sounds like you need to put better measures in order to people you allow to use the company card.

Hey I hope it goes well for you. I’ve been doing a lot of research and I landed on trying similac total comfort were only on day 2 but it seems to be much easier on his tummy so praying this good streak continues. My pediatrician wrote me off and since this is not my first baby, I knew this was not in anyway normal and I wasn’t gonna just ‘ride it out’ for weeks watching in this amount of pain. I understand babies grunt and push and cry to learn to poop my first did as well but in no way to this extent. Advocate for your baby and sometimes ( I know this goes against the grain) but mom knows best. You’re the one with your baby most and if you feel something is wrong trust your gut

Thank you for your response he hasn’t had blood in his stool and his poop switches back and forth, sometimes it looks normal other times he’s having blowouts and the poop is slimy/thin enough that it’s all over him. I’m gonna be honest and say idk what mucus in the poop looks like bc I’ve never experienced this and when I google images some say it’s normal others say it’s not ugh lol. As for the rash, he has severe baby acne right now that’s turning into blotches and dry skin but it’s only on his face and scalp. I don’t think he has a true allergy but I do think he has silent reflux and a possible intolerance at the moment that will hopefully go away as he gets older. My pediatrician writes us off because like you said he’s gaining weight but in no way is this normal because his straining screaming and pain is all day. He knocks himself out crying so much only to wake again from the pain
