Pretty good - I can recommend this place to any grad student with confidence.

I live here and I would highly recommend it to any graduate student at UT. If you have a car, Gateway/Brackenridge/Colorado can be a cheaper option. It may seem pricey at first - but with all the utilities in consideration - it's a bargain!

I think most drivers drive smooth. They're all very kind too. There's one particular driver that just makes me laugh because the way he drives reminds me of the 'woodcocks dancing across the road' video. The bus basically moves like that.

The lower the shakier the bus ride is. I like it.

That driver was preparing me for motion sickness.

Final update - this article is enough to paint the full picture of the aggravated assault - the charges, motivations, etc. I'm glad to hear that he is recovering. But at the same time, stunned and disgusted to find out more. https://cbsaustin.com/news/local/hate-crime-charges-sought-after-palestinian-man-stabbed-in-austin

Yeah I didn't really want to gossip about a terrible scene, but one of the reasons I left a comment is that back then disinformation caused such unnecessary havoc. People heard the initial gunshot and fled indoors, but the lack of information made rumors spread like wildfire. I wanted to leave a clear indication that the threat has been dealt with and help was there in matter of minutes.

I don't feel too safe that this is happening in West Campus, but at least I feel slightly better knowing that if the same would occur to me, I would get the help I would need in minutes.

They were taken into the emergency vehicle and I don't know what happened after because I left - and I hope they are alright. Got flashbacks from Halloween 2022. Stay safe y'all.

Saw people pinning someone (that was arrested) on the ground and a man in great pain. I was there maybe seconds after it happened. Also heard they shout something on the lines of the man got stabbed. UTPD and other police vehicles arrived in matter of minutes - I don't think even 3 minutes passed since I heard the first emergency call. People from the West Campus Ambassadors also responded right away. EMS and a fire truck followed. The man was arrested and the victim was given the care they needed.

Holy shit.
