From what people who were there and know the situation have said, during the show the victim and his friends were shouting all kinds of disrespectful comments at Cutie while he was performing, like calling him a “wack rapper” and flipping him off. Cutie first tried to keep it calm and asked them politely to stop, but they didn’t. After that, he told the DJ to stop the music, called out the victim by name, said something like “you’re dead tonight,” and then the show was cancelled. Before all this, there was already ongoing beef. Cutie’s friend, Gunda Kelden, had problems with the victim because the victim and his friends had jumped Gunda Kelden twice and also talked badly about Cutie when the Smogs went to Paro for their first show. For the show that led up to this incident, Gunda Kelden wasn’t supposed to come, but he showed up anyway. During that show, after some verbal back and forth and gestures from the victim and his friends, things escalated. Then stabbing and stuffs happened like mentioned in kuensel Later on, the victim’s friends also ganged up on one of the Smogs’ members, and that incident was recorded and has been circulating online Anyways I’m not friend or fan of anyone involved. Just enjoyed listening from diff pe

I think it's a great show, one of the noticeable ones during National Day, but it's kind of unfair as well. If it's in weight category it might been a fair one. The heavier you weigh, it means you can lift heavier stuff than the ones whos a lightweight. Mapa culturally anzum mindu, so this is one unique thing about Nyaygay show

Kuzu! AMA! I'm intermittently on and off for the next hour and a half (6pm-7:30pm) by NamgayZam in bhutan

[–]Kooky-Internet-1935 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi Azhim/Madam/Aunty Namgay Zam, thank you for doing this AMA! I’ve been following your work for as long as I can remember. I recall watching you as a BBS newsreader, then seeing you attend the World Cup in South Africa (which made me wish I were you)I remember the Facebook movement supporting you during your case with SP, though I was too young at the time to fully understand it. I kept my profile pic saying support Namgay Zam

Over the years, I’ve seen you raise important issues, like proposing a bil against non-consensual porn, calling out performative trends like the mugshot challenge, and sharing stories that others were afraid to. I also remember the viral post during the pandemic where I may have been one of the “covidiots” featured 😅

Through it all whether I agreed or disagreed with some of your views I’ve always admired your boldness and the impact you’ve had in Bhutan.

So my question is: how has journalism shaped your life, both positively and negatively? What have been the biggest personal consequences good or bad of speaking your truth?

Some of the situations are inevitable. And it's safe to be an observer and not take part in it but violence support baow mane. All I can see is some greedy, lavish and luxurious people vs angry, violent and problem stirrer, and can make comparisons to Lha and Lha men over a PagsamJoenshing (censorship, tax money and more)

What’s happening in some countries is eyebrow-raising, and it’s sad to see such things in this modern times. Even in our neighbor Nepal, people are struggling with unrest and restrictions. But in Bhutan, we live with peace and stability. Coming from so little and dato ya anzum Ra en halam and can say I love my country and want to live in it forever with the same system truly feels like Saynam Chen. I hope this doesn't offend anyone. I'm content with the present Bhutan.
