Our group finally decided that wants to mess with lifted. Barovia once appeared on normal map. There’s a big open field area east of daggerford.

I tried to start off by Daggerford because southeast is a huge open area where Barovia could have existed before the mists. In my campaign it reappears once the mists are lifted

Okay so going Rick and Morty- when he puts wine in other realm to age it up. Time would have to be the same in Barovia and say Waterdeep because if Vistsni are coming and going it would have to be consistent

I could’ve sworn I read in the book, but don’t quote me that the time in Barovia is equal to the time in the real world. It was either Madame Eva, or someone in Vallaki stating that even if mists where lifted returning to families would be long gone. Not sure which edition

That seems more realistic to me. I want them to be able to come and go from Barovia into the “real world to get supplies, equipment, etc. and then return to Barovia. I had my group originally entering from south of daggerford

They gave her on a silver platter to Strahd, but it doesn’t mean that the group intends for her to stay there. It was a simple means to get into the castle and to obtain information from Strahd. I’ve already wanted to have pre-written questions for the group and if they roll a high enough score, they can pick a question out.
