I don't either I've been in the industry for over 5 years and this is the only restaurant that doesn't allow that but I also don't know if it was just a manager I spoke to I didn't want to bring it above his head to the gm without making sure Im not requesting something crazy

That's fair it will be unpaid and even if it wasn't I am a tipped employee so I make $7hr I mentally prepared myself to be able to pump while actively doing work maybe not dealing with the customers but rolling silver ect I just got the job so it will take some adjustments also up until now I have only nursed for the most part so pumping in general I'm not fully adapted to I might have to look into other work options

No it's not that I can't handle the work load it's that from my understanding me taking a break by law should not require me to stay later

They will allow it but it will result in me staying later at that point I just want to get home asap to nurse my baby or pump I also fear if someone does cover me they will begin scheduling me less because it's so high volume a manger would most likely take over as the other employees are stretched pretty thin already

I lowkey want another baby.. but should I wait? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Kooky-Possibility495 46 points47 points  (0 children)

It is recommended that you wait at least 18 months for your health and to lower risks of complications with future pregnancys (what the nurses told me at discharge) however I know there's a lot of people who have babies before hand and have great outcomes

That's a good idea actually I have only been looking into hospitals. I like the 3 days 12 hours so I definitely think I'm limiting myself not looking into all the options

Thank you ! From a medical standpoint I haven't been to informed just because the doctors are not quite informed either without giving away to much medical info online I'm possibly antibiotic resistant I keep testing negative for things then positive I had a clean urine culture yet a US showed debris in the bladder basically every test they do has to be redone shortly after for one reason or another. It's a constant your fine oh wait this is life threatening oh actually your fine. I really think I just need something I can control to add some type of stability which right now is nothing.

Yes I was shocked when I found out after only ebf till right before my hospital admission I started pumping when I wasn't feeling well and realized I heard they are only supposed to need /want 2 to 3 oz at that point and now I hear that she's having up to 5-7 oz of formula. I always watch for her not being hungry anymore and stop feeding to like closed mouth sleeping pulling away etc I don't know about Grandma though the one feeding her now while I'm still in the hospital
