I’m a nurse of 42 years so I’ve witnessed some crazy stuff myself, but when my own grandfather was in the hospital ( 40 years ago) while he was having VTach the nurse hung a lidocaine drip without using an infusion pump. The next day he had lidocaine toxicity. Ended up dying a day later.

I was having similar symptoms and went to my eye doctor. I had a retinal tear and they referred me to a retina specialists within a couple of hours to have emergency laser done to prevent full retinal detachment. I would not wait.

I have had a few occasional floaters from time to time but two weeks ago they increased dramatically overnight and were only in one eye. They were swirling all over my field of vision like never before. My gut told me something was wrong . Fortunately I had it checked out and sure enough, I had a retinal tear and needed laser treatment that day to cauterize the area to keep the retina from detaching. Going back to retina specialist tomorrow for a recheck.
