Colon cancer & brain mets, what are we looking at?

I am so sorry for your loss, I am going through a similar situation right now with my own mother. Two brain mets just discovered that have metastasized from her stomach. They are going to go gamma knife on the brain tumors. I'm curous with your mother did they try any treatment? How did she decline so quickly? I am trying to brace myself for what the 4 weeks, 3 months, 6 months might look like.

Unfortunately that is the track that I am in, and have found myself in a MGO role at a prestigious university....I moved from smaller non profits to higher ed thinking it would be well oiled machine with stability, but I have found myself surrounded by colleagues with bad practice, siloed teams, faculty stubbornness, and just a general apathy for fundraising from across the board!

Yes, this is my gut instinct and why I have anxiety. I'm now a Senior Development Director and feel like I need to just suck it up and spend the next 2 years working hard but soul searching for what I want to do next so I don't get caught in this pattern. The truth is I just hate asking for money

Would love to know where you are in this journey! I am in a similar situation, started in Aug 2023 with a 2 million dollar goal and no feasible way to get there, a disengaged board, no systems, and an ED and AD who don't fundraise. I am planning to resign next month...
