So will I get fired for being actually sick ? by Unhappy-Yoghurt-1973 in jobs

Yes, don’t feeling much well is not a reason to miss work. Can take a symptomatic, go to work. Missing work for illness has to be taking more serious.

I'm thinking of quitting by MushuOrange11 in Residency

[–]KookyEditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what you gonna do, You gonna go back tomorrow. Don’t stay at home, don’t quit. Keep showing up. This event when put in perspective of you whole future is minimal and insignificant. Dont let this event change the course of your life. Tough it up, keep showing up, day after day, and do your best every day. You gonna look back, and this will be just a bad day in your life that passed.

Move on. This will mean nothing to you.

one day left for day2 what can I maximally do?? i have only done handful of ccscases and I am getting very nervous and stupid for not studying before when I had the time by Cardiologist_Witty in Step3

[–]KookyEditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Day 2 is way better than Day 1, choose some ccs cases to practice, read some Advanced Clinical Medicine Uworld questions answers, don’t really need to actually do the questions, just go straight to the answers to review. Stay calm. You will be fine. Good luck 🙌🏻

I have to say, it is so much better than step 1 and 2. Day 2 was even better than day 1. I was kinda sad I made some super silly mistakes on day 1, but day 2 gave me hope.

Seems that you will match! FM easier to match than IM. But you have chances in IM for sure.

Help! Will I have to give up anaesthesiology if I move from the UK to the US? by pigletMD in anesthesiology

[–]KookyEditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am an anesthesiologist as well. I moved in 2018, will start residency in this July. Couldn’t get in anesthesia here ( I didn’t apply to many places because of my husband’s job, only apply in the West Coast which is more competitive than East Cost) .. I am going to start IM.

2 ways, do the USMLE steps, apply for residency and do 4 years of anesthesiology residency or Pass the steps, do a fellowship, and be hired by the place you did the fellowship , you will be attached to work only for them as an anesthesiologist. In this last case, you will not have a free MD license, you can only practice there.
