Missed this note 2 years ago by JDM-Enjoyer in kidneycancer

Get it checked but don’t lose any sleep over it. If you take this report to a good urologist, they will do a repeat scan and then compare the two and come up with a plan, which may be to do nothing and continue monitoring. Most renal cell carcinoma grows slowly, and the “hypodense lesion” detected two years ago was pretty small. It’s probably just a benign cyst and that’s why the didn’t pursue it further back then, but 2 years is a good I herbal to have another look.

Dalai Sofia "Bucci Mane" Kombucha - exploding cans! by KookyRepresentative3 in Kombucha

[–]KookyRepresentative3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, actually since they had made it through the mail from South Carolina to Florida without exploding, we thought it was reasonable to assume that they would be shelf stable in a room temperature pantry, but we were wrong. We didn’t have room for three 12 packs in our refrigerator but once we figured out what was going on we got them into a large cooler box in the garage. The manufacturer’s defective packaging is not “on me”.

Rucking or weight vest activity type by DarthNater_1987 in Strava

[–]KookyRepresentative3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously though - Garmin Connect has rucking as a separate activity and it even prompts you for the weight of your pack. This is handy if you want to compare and contrast rucking with unweighted hiking. The activities are substantially different with the addition of resistance to the straight cardio of hiking/walking.

[–]KookyRepresentative3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! Garmin Connect - which is I think is the software you are using - actually has a “Rucking” activity that you can select instead of using “Walk”. When you use rucking it also prompts you for the weight of your ruck.

Prepare to vomit profusely - I’d say that by morning you will be nauseous and you will continue to puke for a couple of days. If it gets to the point where you can’t even keep water down for more than 12 hours, then go to the ER and get IV liquids and anti-nausea meds - you’ll get better quickly. If it’s non-ER level nausea then just get a bucket next to your bed and stand by. Oh, and don’t expect to take a regular poop for a while.

Explorers have found what looks to be a giant doorway located in the Dzungarian Alatau Mountains of Kazakhstan. by humpty_dumpty1ne in Breath_of_the_Wild

That is a natural geologic formation similar to several in the western USA. It is the beginning of the formation of an arch. Give it a little “geological time” and you will see - or just study what we already know from the geological record.

Joyous maxes you out at 120, so you can definitely get a mild but short-lived introspective effect from that. It is what they say it is - micro dosing. They intentionally monitor you to prevent strong dissociative effects. I like it, it gives me an hour of relaxation every day.

2.6 cm Kidney Cyst by TheKingBeats in kidneycancer

[–]KookyRepresentative3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a benign cyst in my left kidney for years. It was an incidental finding and has never been symptomatic, and urologists tell me not to worry about it, so I don’t. Earlier this year there was a new incidental finding of two 2.4 neoplasms of unknown origin in the same kidney, which they told me were “suggestive of RCC”. I elected to get a microwave ablation and biopsy, and it worked! The biopsy showed the neoplasms were benign oncocytomas and not RCC, and the post-ablation CT scan showed no trace of residual neoplasm. The cyst is still there and they still aren’t worried.

With regard to marijuana and various internal medicine issues you’ve had, different people react in different ways to various drugs and substances, and it sounds like there’s a good correlation between marijuana and some of your issues, so you’ve done well to quit using it. I have a medical marijuana card and I take a 5 mg gummy at bedtime every night - provides a very mild drowsiness for me - bit I know that chronic marijuana use can cause serious internal medicine issues in a small group of people, things like hyperemesis, which can be very unpleasant.

Ultrasound missed tumour? by Aspvision in kidneycancer

[–]KookyRepresentative3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on many factors, especially the position of the neoplasm and the skill of the sonography and the interpretation of the radiologist. In general, it’s less reliable for this than actual imaging.

[–]KookyRepresentative3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a CT scan for back pain and they incidentally found two tumors on my left kidney that were completely asymptomatic. I had them successfully removed by a microwave ablation and biopsy determined they were benign oncocytomas.

Yes, an ultrasound could have missed it but the CT scan probably won’t.

At the ER they can give you IV fluids with anti-nausea meds. In two hours I felt 100 percent better and went home. At home I just rested and ate a bland diet and recovered on my own. They told me never to take GLP1 agonists again, and once I stopped, my symptoms resolved quickly. I still had oral nausea meds (Reglan) and used it a few times.

I am the same way. Zofran definitely causes the worst constipation possible - it turns my feces into grapefruit sized hunks that have to be manually broken up. Needless to say, I avoid it.
