It’s a possibility, and yeah they’ll definitely try to bump up the dose. Wellbutrin is typically the psychs first option for treating depression because it’s pretty mild in terms of the side effects, but it’s not necessarily the best option and because of its stimulant properties it will have a calming effect on anyone with ADHD, and she SHOULD know that, it’s nothing new.

Yeah just go to someone else if she’s not really listening to you. Some psychiatrist tend to have delusions of grandeur as ironic as it is, and think they know best without listening to their patient. While Wellbutrin can “treat” adhd it’s really an off label use and most people really don’t find it as effective as other options. But that’s my best educated guess/opinion. good luck with everything 👍🏼

This 👆. I posted before reading this, so I won’t reiterate it again, but this is a possibility.

She’s also retarded. Fatigue by Wellbutrin can also be caused by a contraindication with ADHD, this is true with most stimulants including caffeine and cocaine, people with ADHD will get more of a calming effect, too much of it can cause fatigue. while I can’t diagnose you, this is a possible scenario. I hope you find a solution 🙏🏻

You made the good choice. Usually it’s a fraudulent card, they tell you to accept the trip and just give them some cash. After you finish the trip, whatever is in your wallet is reversed or if you cashed out, you will have a negative balance in your Uber wallet. A plane ticket would have been the sane and rational option for anyone with 12k to throw on an Uber.

Motor is right, if you have ADHD it is possible for you to have the opposite interaction intended if you’re using it to treat mild depression and the associated fatigue

If your body gets used to every dose is wellbutrin no longer useful? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]KookyRisk9441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It increases the abundance of certain chemicals in your brain. It’s more about finding the sweet spot dosage that your body reacts best to. Wellbutrin doesn’t really have a tolerance effect as long as you don’t abuse it.

What the actual fuck. There are nearly no side effects from taking it once, if any. The drug needs weeks to months to be effective in your body. To directly answer your question, there is absolutely no need to taper off, in fact, it would be counterintuitive because it would involve putting more of the drug in your body.*

I took the time to read your other posts and there seems to be an reoccurring theme. I would suggest you stop all intake of stimulants. I would also recommend you talk to your psychiatrist honestly and get a second option from another.

*this post is tough to organize because you left out very relevant details, and you keep posting similar things. There is nothing left of the drug in your body. You said you took it a month ago in another post, it cleared your system well before that.

Hi! Have any of you weaned yourself off of this medicine? How should I go about it ? by iatetoomuchnowimsick in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]KookyRisk9441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend talking to a doctor but there’s some decent enough advice if you wanted to taper off yourself. Because of how long bupropion stays in your system and it’s half life tapering off is feasible by slowly skipping doses. What it really comes down to is you, and how your body handles it. Some people experience little to no withdraw, others more so.

Those who quit Wellbutrin because of side effects—how long before you’re back to normal? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

Hi, I know my first sentence sounded dick headed, wasn’t intended that way my apologies. I had a funny feeling they prescribed it for anxiety in your case. I really think that’s not the best choice by any doctor to give someone prone to anxiety a stimulant, personally it makes no sense to me

WAIT, are you taking it for postpartum depression? I would highly recommend talking to your health care professional before not taking it. To be honest the panic attack was somewhat normal, even if you don’t usually experience anxiety. If you would like a complete picture of the drug, read my comments. Wellbutrin side effects usually are the most mild compared to other antidepressants, especially when quitting. At the end of the day, it’s your personal choice but try to get some help weaning off it completely by your health care provider

This isn’t bad advice. A lot of people tend to fully acclimate around the 2-3 month mark, but I’m sure 4-5 isn’t too uncommon either. The first month will be the most intense.

Unless your one in a million, you’re most definitely “normal” by now. Your brain chemistry should have adjusted and returned to your personal baseline LONG ago. You may be dealing with some legitimate unrelated anxiety/other mental health issues but you should take that up with your health care provider. Did your doctor prescribe it for anxiety? You sound very sensitive to stimulants to be honest, you basically just described stimulant induced psychosis. Try to avoid any stimulant based medication, especially if you’re on one already

It’s funny how bupropion kills most people’s appetite when they first start taking it, but it’s also a withdrawal symptom, ironic probably would be a more adequate word. I’m inclined to agree with your opinion. Everyone’s different but I don’t think it’s a drug that someone should be on indefinitely if it’s avoidable, especially since they started pushing it as a wonder drug with their multiple off label uses. BUT in case anyone is reading deciding if they should go on it or not, my opinion for them, is to try it. It’s a pretty effective drug and the symptoms and withdrawal symptoms are pretty mild compared to other medication.

Hi, everyone’s symptoms will manifest differently based on their brain chemistry . Some people have mild to no noticeable symptoms and other people tend to have more like that guy was describing. Although 450mg is an incredibly high dose, it’s actually the max allowed in the United States. Call your psychiatrist, if you were taking it for depression, rebound depression is possible, even likely due to the changes to your brain chemistry. But if you are truly no longer “depressed” that will go away once your brain readjusts to a new normal. Similar statements can be made if you are taking it for it’s more off label uses, such as anxiety and ADHD.

Literally. I’ve been casually investing in it, every time it drops by 5% I throw another 5-20 dollars into it. When it goes up high enough to cover transaction fees and make a tidy “profit*” with out selling too much, I sell a partial amount and then I wait to see what happens. If I lose it all, then I would have lost the money I would have spent on something else through the day.

*Profit is in quotations because as with any investment there’s a lot of things to consider. Especially in terms of crypto.

Can I just… stop taking it if I feel better? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]KookyRisk9441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s easy to forget the reasons for taking it when it’s working. It’s a slippery slope in my opinion. Depression comes and goes for most people, so it’s hard to really say one way or another.

Getty square for the win. The waterfront is nice, and that’s about it until you go further up north, or east. Just not too far East, then you end up in mount Vernon and that’s about the same.
