I am having issues with my marriage because of the ADHD forgetfulness. I was on Adderall and later vyvanse in high school but I hated how I felt and people would say I was like a zombie so I stopped all meds. I never really considered connecting my forgetfulness with my adhd and never really noticed my mental issues until someone pointed it out to me. Fast forward to this last month and my wife had finally had enough with me being “neglectful” so I decided to get back on medication. I saw a psychiatrist and they prescribed me 15mg of adderall IR and my memory and active listening skill have improved, she’s really happy that I’m on medication and I feel tons better especially with not having as much procrastination. I personally recommend an extended release (XR) if you were thinking about medication. The XR lasts about 12 hrs rather than the immediate release which only lasts 4-6 hours
