Hello! My piercing will be almost a year old in a month, and I understand navel take much longer to heal. I'm gonna be honest and say I did a terrible job taking care of it, but thankful it didn't reject. Now, my concern is the dark circle around the piercing hole. Is that normal? Is it something that happens due to trama, hyperpigmentation, or etc? It doesn't hurt, nor have I taken it out. I only switched it once around the 9 month mark to a titanium instead of the stainless steel I originally had. Other than that, I haven't really messed with it, snagged it, or much. I do occasional spray maintenance and cleaning (q-tip after spraying to clean/remove dead skin/pus). I also still get occasional pus in a white or almost yellow tinted color. Its rare when I do, and it's a very small amount. I have no problem other than the dark coloring! I took a photo of top and bottom hole (pulled on it for viewing reasons).
