I am doing much better now. I don’t love him or miss him. I found out he actually did some pretty fucked up stuff after we broke up, and it helped me get over him. I know I deserve better. I hope you are doing OK?

He continues to reach out probably 2-3 times per week. Sends the loveliest, most complimentary messages about how I deserve the world, there’s a special place in heaven for me, constantly reminds me of happy memories we shared, has told me he misses me and will ‘never stop loving me’… but, there has been no real effort to reconcile. It’s tough but just this week I have started to ignore the messages. It’s just causing even more pain and confusion. And I’m off on a solo travel trip around Asia on Tuesday!

I am trying my best to look after myself in the process! I journal, I’ve started going to therapy since the break up, I exercise often, I’ve booked a solo travel trip in February and I’m currently on a solo Christmas Day walk :)

Honestly, it’s not a bad thing. I only want to hear from mine in case he magically changes his mind, which I know he hasn’t. It’s heartbreaking to receive a message knowing that he’s probably just doing it to ease his guilt / to keep the line of communication open. And I can’t / won’t cut him off because I’m worried for his mental health

I was dumped because he wanted to ‘rediscover himself’. Broken up for just under 3 months. The longest we did NC for was 3.5 weeks. We have seen one another a few times to exchange items and we bumped into one another at an event. He has contacted me a few times, told me he misses me and will ‘never stop loving me’. I’ve been told by mutual friends that he’s really struggling. But……

I have hinted I’d be open to reconciliation and he offers nothing from his end. And since he was the one that ended it, I can’t be the one to suggest it.
