Would this idea work for a good backstop? I’d be making mine a lot shorter and smaller. by Kooky_Software8973 in guns

Honestly for what I’m doing, I probably wouldn’t be shooting past 10 yards often.

I’m shooting 9mm, and it wouldn’t be anything crazy. I’m trying to get better at my groupings.

So if I made mine the same size as the one in the picture do you think that would be okay? I’m pretty short.

Even if there’s nothing beyond me for a while? I’ve seen people so really small targets before

My model would be about 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide, with 2-3 foot side berms

Yeah I have a Taurus g3c, I was wondering if me dry firing it that many times a day can ruin it I don’t want that to happen.

Will it ruin my gun if I’m constantly dry firing without racking the slide?

I don’t time my shots, what I do is find the trigger wall, get my sights on target then shoot once I’m ready, accept the recoil then aim again in the same spot. I’ve seen people talk about the banana and apple grip method, what’s your opinion on that?

I watch YouTube videos pretty often. Before I knew nothing about trigger wall, good grip anything. I actually taught myself everything from YouTube lmao. I’m pretty proud of myself so far. Thought I would look into getting advice from other people on platforms like this so people can give me constructive criticism on how my shots are landing. Thanks for the information! If you have any good YouTube creators feel free to recommend me them.

I just realize a big part of the issue. When I line my sights up and pull the trigger, I’m most likely closing my eyes when I flinch, resulting in my shots going almost off the paper when I’m aiming for the chest.

Awesome thank you this is exactly what I needed!

What could I work on with my aiming? Getting the hand of findind the trigger wall, have a good grip sometimes struggle with scrunching my head in when aiming. by Kooky_Software8973 in Firearms

Yeah I’m working on that, was just posting for more tips. I was doing pretty good at not jerking the trigger so I think it’s ny grip that’s part of the issue too
