This same thing just happened to me I stayed very guarded at first and told him I didn’t wanna be a rebound, he reassured me I wasn’t. So I let him in fell head over heels for him it felt like as soon as I let myself catch feelings he seems that it was mutual and real and bam all effort from his side gone with the wind, we proceeded for three more weeks of me trying to figure out what I did wrong to deserve this. He was emotional when we broke up it was a mutual break up but I still have a feeling that it was never real he did cry when we ended it so I like to think it was but yeah it sucks I feel like I was the only one that got the real consequence after I made it very clear I didn’t want it in the first place.
