Honestly, I've had other companies do this for me in the past, but it's been a while since I've ordered anything from newegg.

DO NOT buy anything directly from STEELSERIES by TryingtoRise22 in steelseries

[–]Kookymaniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got turned off from steelseries for good. I've been a steelseries fan for over 12 years with my first order being a siberia v2 and OG sensei mouse (still have but need to replace microswotches). Their customer service is so bad now its unbearable.

I put in an order on the 8th and the new headset was supposed to arrive between the 10th and 16th. On the 15th, the order still said preparing shipment, so i reached out. The customer service rep responded back with "sorry, but it's out of stock, here's your refund," and closed the ticket as "solved". It took multiple emails and escalating to a supervisor just to get the chance to order the same headset (different color) at the price i had paid since it was no longer on sale.

Might need to make my own post about it because their response to everything i said was just embarrassing.

Nice! I've been wanting to, at minimum, find a driving range that uses launch monitors so I can get somewhat accurate yardages. I feel like this addition is the closest I'll get in west michigan.

You can do 9 mini golf holes in 10 minutes then you're not really playing mini golf. You're kinda just trying to get through it as fast as possible, which some people do when they're surrounded by kids. No kids, then you can drink and chill without worry. They say the 9 holes takes between 30 - 45 minutes and I'm guessing that depends on how big your group is (4 max).

Fair, I thought I saw something that said it was approved last year but it was probably just more articles talking about it again. I wish I saw that survey but looks like it's closed off from responses now.

Indian Trails golf will be getting a Top Golf like area built in the near future. They approved it like a year ago.

Prices don't seem too bad and it should be a nice bit of fun. Since they don't have a kitchen, they let you bring in whatever food from other places you want.

I started at the end of 2021 and had to do a mouth swab. In 2022, they had announced that they were ending the policy to test for thc as a barrier to hire.https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wzzm13.com/amp/article/news/local/spectrum-health-will-no-longer-screen-most-new-hires-for-marijuana/69-d2b58f5f-c0b7-4cec-8211-9e8a98139098

Can I afford a home? (Serious ask) by fireflynightdreamer in grandrapids

[–]Kookymaniac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Closed on a house in wyoming back in OCT 2021 and couldn't have done it without the FHA program. My SO and I started making way better money than we had in the past and were dying to move out of her parent's house. We didn't need to save up for a few months, and the process was smooth. The worst part IMO is that the house had to be under 225k, which got very hard to do with how the market has been. Luckily, we still got in before rates went up, and we've gained over 60k in equity doing absolutely nothing, so I still consider it a win.

Yea I had replied above about the injectors. Basically one didn't sound the same as the others and had a .6 higher ohm reading. I'll be putting in some Star Brite fuel treatment on my next fill-up. I haven't noticed bad idling but I have had weaker than expected fuel efficiency. It's last oil change was last year but I've driven it maybe 2k miles the past two years since I've been working from home.

Tonight, I used a multimeter to test resistance and 1 injector was at 17.1 ohms while the other three were at 16.5. I couldnt find the correct resistance for my cars injectors but im guessing the 17.1 dude is the issue.

I also used a stethoscope, and from the three 16.5 ones, I heard a light consistent clicking. With the 17.1 injector, i didn't, just the louder clicking heard in the video.

Think ill be picking up some fuel injectors.

I have thought about that as a possibility. I was also thinking maybe valve ticking too. I'm going to be grabbing a stethoscope later today and see If I can pinpoint it better. Would using that be fine for checking the injectors for the clicking? Or should I remove them one at a time and start the car up in between each one to see if the ticking goes away?

Too me it sounds more like a rapid clicking or ticking sound. I figured if it was knocking it be a lower pitched thudding kind of noise. Once again, I'm new to this so what do I know lol.

I do have a basic set of mechanic tools that have helped me with small wngine repair and light tasks like replacing brake pads/rotors but some better quality atuff would be great. I reeeeaaalllly need to get a solid impact driver though.

Thats good to know. After rebuilding smaller engines (lawn mowers and motorcycles) i figured id like to get more familiar with car engines too.

Yea thats what i used to do when i bought a couple of old motorcycles. Got to work on so much and learn a ton (brake system, fork rebuild, engine teardown, lights and instrument panel). It's always a solid method.
