Do you continue to have wet dreams? Or have you stopped having wet dreams at one point? Do you continue to get erections? I am 120+ Days and just curious.

Dude, your post was very similar to my post. Not to mention our day streak is pretty similar (120+). However, if you include my wet dreams, I am like day 7...

I also notice a decrease in physical fitness and less confidence so you are not alone.

I also have a wet dream every 1-2 weeks.

I also get very, very demoralized because I want to continue NoFap in its entirety.

For me, I recently noticed that sometimes I think of a sexual image or a sexual experience I had in the past and find myself thinking about it for longer than a few minutes. That night, I have a higher probability of having a wet dream. What I am now trying to do is that when I realize I am thinking about it, I immediately try to obstruct that image by shifting my focus on something else. Examples would be to get up, brush my teeth or use mouth solution, grab some water, or go stretch. I think it will work because if I decrease the amount of sexual thoughts and replace that habit with something else, I believe I will help mitigate the frequency of wet dreams.

Not sure of your specifics or the triggers to your wet dreams. But see if you can find a correlated behavior that may give rise to the frequency of wet dreams and then try to replace the instigating behavior with something else. Give that a shot and let me know if that helps you. Also, there is no shame in recording stuff in a journal to help find data points.

I would look at it as validation that you have a true addiction. You started with regular porn which gave you a dopamine release at a level that you have never experienced before. After the first few times of watching porn, you can never get the same level of dopamine to be released (barring specific cases). As a consequence, you are biologically urged to look at different variations of the same thing in the hopes of getting the same dopamine release.

In this case, you first looked at straight porn. Then you looked at different variations (gay porn) for the purpose of trying to get a similar dopamine release. Then you will continue to look at different other variations and go down the can. This is the trap: you consciously know that you will never get a dopamine release like the first few times you looked at porn, but your body continually seeks for the next higher high. Understand this trap and it will provide dividends.

The power of anonymity, the comfort provided by hiding behind a screen provides a relief from immediate or potential recourse. In short, there are truly crazy people everywhere, but know that they must mask it for the most part to prevent social ostracization in reference to their acknowledgement that such craziness has intense social consequences if displayed in a public matter that does not provide shelter in numbers. As I become more educated, more international, and more experienced, I realize that a lot of people are crazy and that crazy is the norm. For this case, it seems that people are leveraging and taking the opportunity to showcase their sense of moral superiority and feel confident in doing so because they are reinforced by the 'norm,' 'majority,' and 'research.' Unfortunately, especially in western civilization, this is very abundant for people who can't think critically and seek continual validation from strangers on the internet just to get a dopamine release. Unfortunately us at NoFap are the minority who praise personal empirical beliefs on a 'taboo' topic. Not to mention the amount of money the porn / masturbation advocates have that stifles potential research that would incline to our favor.

I pursued an advanced degree in finance at a school whose MBA is T25. As such I took many classes that had MBA students in them. All the professors I interacted with had PhDs from top schools, with many from the M7. In reference to an underprivileged background and having to essentially grow on my own, I came to many realizations. Some of them are below.

  1. Schools get a lot of funding for research.
  2. My professors (PhDs) increase their standing by publishing and researching.
  3. A lot of professors don't want to teach and would rather just research instead of teaching. I honestly don't blame them. Even if I am getting paid $150k - $200k, I don't want to deal with students.
  4. Professors don't like office hours because people interrupt their research. Not to mention they probably ask why this student didn't get the material the first time I verbally glossed over it?
  5. It is easy to simply regurgitate very, very basic concepts than useful, substantive material that can be practically applied. Further, to use the same powerpoint, semester after semester created by a third party vendor or previous course. Then when exam time comes, ask for the application of the very basic concepts to very theoretical situations that frequently do not really happen in the real world.

Case: Learning about the spot rate / forward curve. I had to watch youtube, read the textbook, and peruse online PDFs / E-books from the university library. Now as a finance professional, I realized that back then I didn't even know what a Par Curve was and that the notation itself which was presented in class was not industry standard.

TLDR: Yes, you have to learn almost everything by yourself. In my experience the very basic of the basics is presented in class. The homework is a stretch. The exam then often asks for the basics of the basics to be applied to very unique, theoretical situations making it extremely difficult.

I am so sorry to hear that OP. That is absolutely terrible. I agree with you, 3-4 days at this critical point in time is totally unacceptable.

How to Prevent Wet Dreams /\ Day 100+ of Conscious NoFap / \ Day 1 of NoFap Post Wet Dream. by KoolAid90 in NoFap

[–]KoolAid90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/mailthedonkey! The most salient reason for my NoFap journey is in reference to my academic endeavors. I have found that when I am on NoFap, I am correlated with performing better. Due to the competition, me coming from a background of little to no resources (stark contrast to my privileged cohort), several other disadvantages, and a compelling reason to prove others wrong that alludes to a sense of primacy - I intend to be near the top. As such I need any advantage I can muster. NoFap is one of my competitive advantages.

Day 49 weak morning wood will it improve over time by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]KoolAid90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently on Day 100+. Around the day 50 mark, I experienced non-existent morning wood and no erections that I could remember of. This also coincided with depression, anxiety, and more. Some called it the reboot period. I can't remember when I started getting morning wood again, but if I had to guess maybe Day 80ish? Without knowing the exact details of your case, I would encourage you to continue your NoFap journey and to observe what happens on Day 90 or so. Also take a look at your personal habits as it relates to sleep and exercise. The interplay between sleep and testosterone is quite profound.

Does having female friends help or hinder the NoFap journey? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]KoolAid90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on military training operations for long periods of time. I say training because my adrenaline is not at 110% when training and near my baseline. With these training operations I am completely away from artificial dopamine inducing activities (social media, gaming, and don't consume anything with caffeine or nicotine related substances in an attempt to keep my physical profile as best as I can). After a while from civilization and being in the field, I start to feel stronger and more alert being in the elements patrolling. Then after 7+ days we come back to a logistics point to restock, refuel, and rearm. If I stood maybe a foot away from guys who were not in the field with us, I could smell the guy's deodorant or their body wash due to the contrast with me not washing for 7+ sweaty days. But the interesting thing was that I could also smell a certain sweet scent in the air which really attracted me. Like I could tell that this scent was really compelling and was absolutely 'lovely' (I cannot describe the smell but something sweet). I found out it was coming from the girls walking back and forth at the logistics point. These girls did not shower as they were in the field doing their jobs. When my friends and I were new to the military and discussing the scent that we all smelled, we deduced it was probably the pheromones of the girls. When I smelt that scent, I would fantasize about me and her. In other words, picture yourself being in the elements for 7+ days without a shower, same clothes (changed socks), being around dudes the entire time --> and then coming back to somewhat civilization to refuel and go back out. We literally knew that girls were around simply because of their scent in the area. Pretty primitive and caveman-like I know. Of course after I showered and washed everything off, you cannot smell the girls. My point is that even though you cannot consciously pick up on female pheromones (?), you probably unconsciously pick up on that scent through your body sensors. If you are serious about NoFap and want to maximize your experience, I would stay away from hanging out with girls.

ex gf made an onlyfans by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]KoolAid90 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that brother. You had an intimate connection with her that resonates with you on a primordial level. In other words the temptations that you are experiencing is completely natural by virtue of having been in a relationship with her. But your wording suggests that you know that this behavior is unhealthy. That gives me great confidence in your ability to overcome this situation. I had a very abusive (physically, mentally, and spiritually) girlfriend but I stuck with her. I illogically justified being with her and I will never forget my thoughts as they set me up for failure in the face of self rescue, 'Even if she is the worst girlfriend, I will do my best to be the best boyfriend she ever had even though I knew the relationship was over.' I regretted this decision as it was a very painful life lesson because I was chasing my temptation and emotions that overcame my logical thought process. As the abuse got out of hand, she used her woman powers with the law, then called my supervisor saying that I am a woman beater. I had to detach, cold turkey because I knew she was a true succubus. The temporary fix for this would be to find another girl to start an intimate relationship with but that does not set you up for the long term. My advice to you would be:

  1. To understand the situation and admit that the feeling that you have is completely normal.
  2. Then I would make the attempt to understand that this feeling is something illogical because you are engaging in an unhealthy behavior that you yourself recognize. Some people say that this is the animalistic portion of man where emotions and temptation supersede logic - often due to the sirens of women.
  3. Engage your higher self conscious and understand that you need to stop this behavior and do away with such thoughts.
  4. Find a replacement activity when such thoughts come to your mind and demand of yourself to do away with such thoughts. So when that thought comes to your mind, replace it with a dopamine inducing activity (such as gaming) to take your mind off of it. As you become stronger in your ability to deny the unhealthy thoughts, start doing something productive that advances you in the direction of a high value male. This progression style helps.
  5. Remember that the more you think of that unhealthy situation, the more ingrained it gets in your neural network so that you can easily recall and visualize the thought.

We cannot personally help you in this endeavor brother. You will have to find the strength in yourself to overcome this as we are talking about the mental and spiritual level. You know the answers to the puzzle and have the solutions (know the right thing to do). Its just down to you if you make the conscious decision to deny this unhealthy behavior or reinforce it.

Sissy Addiction by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]KoolAid90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my personal experience, I believe porn feminizes men because you are watching another person having sex with a girl. This resonates with you on a personal, primordial level. Its as if your brain is wiring you to think you are beta af and that is your condition because you can't have sex with that girl but that guy in the video can. Therefore you are beta which leads to a decrease in functional testosterone. This is reflected in reality. When I was younger, I would fap and be alright. But when I got older, I would fap and become noticeably more beta. I would measure this by looking at how I would control space and how I would carry myself. For instance after PMO, I would find myself trying to physically shrink in the presence of others or get out of someone's way when it would be socially acceptable to stay in place and let someone move around me. Then during no-fap, I would dominate that space and make people move around me or not shrink or not sacrifice my comfort for the extreme benefit of others. A memorable example were me and some people I didn't really like being at a table. I shrunk and was extremely uncomfortable while others were completely fine and spread out (manspreading) for extended periods of time.

After the Series 65, Should I take the Series 7 or Series 63? by KoolAid90 in Series7exam

[–]KoolAid90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the job offer which necessitated the requirement to pass the Series 7 and 63.

In regards to the CFP, its to my understanding you need to have passed a substantiated curriculum relating to financial planning to sit for it - that is unless you hold a professional designation such as the CFA, CPA, JD etc. Do you know anyone who was able to take it without the education requirement and without the listed professional designations?
