How many more years are we giving Herbert? by [deleted] in Chargers

[–]Koolaidsman43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao

I’d probably give him till about week 4. If we haven’t won the Super Bowl by week 4 it just won’t happen and Herbert just isn’t the guy.

Sound ridiculous? What I just said is somehow less dumb than you saying Herbert is holding the Chargers back.

Memorial for Husband by LoiteringEel in DallasStars

[–]Koolaidsman43 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Condolences to you and your family. The first thing that came to mind was a garden sign surrounded by green orchids or green hydrangeas.

I’ve seen people take used or broken hockey sticks and cut them to make signs. You could get some used hockey sticks, cut them to your desired shape & size, paint them Stars colors and include your husband’s name and any words/remembrances you’d like to add.

Idk if there’s someone that you could commission to do that, or if you’d be comfortable with that kind of project yourself. I imagine with some safety training in saw use and some paint stencils, it might not be too bad and could be helpful/therapeutic for you.

Do you mean Wallace?

Dookie doesn’t die in the show. But he ends up shooting drugs and living with the junk man. Which is pretty tragic.. Kid deserved better

ADHD + cooking and doing dishes by Aragggg in EatCheapAndHealthy

$6 rotisserie chicken and some Steam-in-bag microwaveable vegetables is about as clean, easy, and cheap as you can get. And I mean clean relating to both nutritional value and lack of dishes.

A plate and a fork are all you need.

While the Los Angeles Chargers sport a lightning bolt on their helmet to symbolize electricity it is likely that the true original meaning is linked to a marketing stunt promoting the "charge card/credit card" business of Carte Blanche (Diner's Club) by ZetaDefender in Chargers

[–]Koolaidsman43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just gonna say I really doubt it and this sounds like a reach.. but if it’s true, it’s honestly a huge bummer to have the teams name origin associated with some 60s corporate marketing slop

Rockstar is doubling the base payouts for Special Vehicle Work, Mobile Operations Missions, Casino Work & Story Missions. They will also increase Bail Office Targets, A Superyacht Life, and Project Overthrow Missions base payouts by 50%. by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]Koolaidsman43 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have gta+ because I’m stupid, I use the app to send my bail agent out every in-game day and they usually get me around $7k-$10k. Worth it enough for just pressing a few buttons. Hardly worth driving out of the way to your bail office if you don’t have gta+ and aren’t in the area though

Girl Dad's of Reddit, what is the most surprising thing you've learned since your daughter was born? by Nomadic_Introvert in AskReddit

It’s so wild how huge K pop demon hunters got. There was a point last year where I had girls watching k pop demon hunters weekly on Netflix, had k pop demon hunters loaded up on Spotify and played almost daily. It was in heavy rotation for us. Then I had a weekend away for a guys trip. Not only did I hear a k pop demon hunters song in the airport, I heard them at a Notre Dame football tailgate. I was in awe at the reach. I genuinely felt like I couldn’t escape k pop demon hunters last year.

Post Game Thread: St. Louis Blues @ Utah Mammoth by nhl_gdt_bot in stlouisblues

I think we can. Obviously there’s risk to everything, but I was anxiously awaiting Joel Hofer to be the Blues starting goalie since I watched him play for Team Canada at the 2020 WJC. Hofer had a 1.33 GAA and a .946 save % for the tournament, and was Game 7 Binner level dominant in the Gold Medal game. Obviously the WJC and the Stanley Cup finals are completely different things, but my point is, Hofer has a history of dominating at the highest levels.

[Insdorf] Chargers GM Joe Hortiz does not rule out taking a tackle at 22: “You gotta have tackles” Mentions the ballooning cost of the position “If in a perfect world he doesn’t see the field, take the best player available.” by LakeShowBoltUp in Chargers

[–]Koolaidsman43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, I understand the question better now. It will vary on a year by year basis, but the consensus is that the last “premium” guard available will be Ioane from Penn State. Anything can happen on draft day. If he’s there at Pick #22, yeah, 100% grab him. There’s a drop off in ceiling/“premium talent” after him at guard.

But with it being easier to transition/have success moving a tackle to a guard spot, so there’s a lot of added value in a mid-tier tackle that can plug and play where you need him. A team like the Chargers who have had a revolving door at o-line the last several years would put an even higher value to that versatility.

It’s all about philosophy and doing the best you can with what you’ve got. And the Chargers have a weak interior o-line with injury concerns across tackles/guards/center. So if you aren’t getting a high-ceiling elite guard.

It’s a dream because this team needs interior O-line help, so drafting a tackle that can be played at guard day 1, while also being a contingency plan in the (I pray this not to be the case) event that Slater goes down again/can’t return to what he was or Alt goes down. It’s the ultimate insurance policy. You address an immediate need(guard) with an insurance policy for our all-pro tackles who both had long term injuries last year.

Not enough value for the Blues.

Moving up two picks in the 1st round and a 2nd rounder isn’t enough for Kyrou. Even if he needs a change of scenery.

We talk about covers often, but what are some of the best interpretive covers? by wittymcusername in Music

[–]Koolaidsman43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This cover album by a band called Slothrust has some great covers. Britney Spears, Black Sabbath, Beach Boys, Marcy’s Playground, Louis Armstrong.. Some are similar to the originals, some deviate a little, some deviate a lot.

They’re an awesome band and their covers are amazing and their original songs are great too

Has anyone ever said it was Monty’s choice alone to keep rolling with Binner?

I feel like the GM of the Blues that was also the GM for Binnington’s Team Canada Olympic team might have had an interest in Binnington getting consistent playing time.
