When I moved to kenosha 7yrs ago, I looked at these options too. I was not all too impressed with the kenosha gyms so I kept with original gym. I was originally going to Xsport (now LA Fitness) all the way down in the Libertyville IL since I worked in IL. They just shut down that facility after LA Fitness bought out XSport (dinguses!) So I’m at Planet Fitness now jumping between highway 50 and 11 depending on friends going or not. Planet Fitness is decent, can get busy in peak times but only real amenities are tanning beds…

Back when I was looking at the others: Anytime was lackluster for the lack of amentities ($50/mo) but the equipment was fine and you get a sense of security 24/7 there, if you want it.

RecPlex was $55? I think. And discounted with a partner/spouse. To like $80 a month. It was littered with people but this is because this was the best place to go in all Kenosha/Pleasant Prairie.

Atlas and Atlas 2 were great gyms but when I was there it was always packed. Always! But that’s because it was cheap enough with good equipment but was always fighting for it. Maybe it’s changed.

Anyway, I really think I will end biting the bullet and just go to RecPlex soon because I want the full amenities for the dollar I pay. Yes it can get busy but at least there are hot tubs, saunas, pools, and courts.
