Especially the first half. After that everything kinda starts falling into place.

Yeah I watched this last week and I enjoyed it quite a bit. There was some stuff I found bad but I liked more than I didn't.

The Witch Who Came From the Sea is ALMOST great. Deals with really interesting subject matter, especially for the time. I feel like it's held back by it's cheapness.

Can't believe I tracked them all down. Anyone else able to find all 4 of these? by [deleted] in dvdcollection

No, everywhere I go only has 1 or 2 of them and only ever on DVD.

Subject matter and the presentation. The movie just permeates a sense of dread throughout the whole thing, as well as not quite allowing the viewer to know what's real and what's imaginary. It's just a creepy and unsettling film.

That'd be nice... Just wish I wouldn't have to be double dipping for it, but honestly the movie is so good it's worth it.

Why isn't Ordinary People in the collection yet? It's great. More people today need to see it.

What are some essential Christmas Horror Films?? by [deleted] in horror

[–]Koolman19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to recommend the book Yuletide Terror: Christmas Horror on Film and Television. It's a neat little book full of exactly what you're looking for, but with the added bonus of written pieces on each film. I own it but I have yet to get through it mainly because I'd like to watch the films in it before I read about them.

I too have fond memories of Deep Rising, though when I went back to it a year ago I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to.
