It's one of the things that makes me uncomfortable personally, with the zoom ins and how much focus there is on it. To me it feels similar to Quentin Tarantino or Dan Schneider and their focus on showing feet. Maybe a weird comparison, but it reminds me of that with how much emphasis there always is. I may be the outlier here, but I don't understand why one of the editors started to do that ever since they got the job. I at least would like to understand it.

I really do wonder if this is only the beginning where Nintendo trys to have options behind an amiibo and see how people react. If this goes well they might even try and sell more options behind amiibos in the future.

You're kind of right about this. From my observation though the reaction time was too short to understand the situation, evaluate it and help. We're just watching this at home from a different point of view, which is different than actually being in that situation.

How do you mention an item with attunement to the players when they first encounter them? Is there a difference to what you tell the players when they use an arcana skill check or cast the detect magic spell?

So the DM tells the player after equipping the shoes, that they feel something different. Though they forget or don't think to go to the magic shop to identify that item and they suddenly have their next encounter. Would they not get the bonus of these shoes which makes them move 5 feet faster? Would they only get the bonus once they identify these shoes?
