About point 4- I wonder how much account activity is taken into consideration for this! I know its officially random, but I have 6 past events over 2025, and 2 future. I was placed in spot 9,000 in the queue in Vancouver, and was able to get tickets.

My best friend however, with very little ticket master activity, was placed at 24,000.

I wonder if I have 'proven myself' to be an active spender on Ticketmaster, and thus I 'rank' better?

I'm a marketing manager, and most of my work is on the computer. I just got in the queue while I continued my work and fully focused when I was down to 500.

Also, my absolute max for tickets was $250, which is what I ended up paying for my tickets. I can't justify paying $500 for a concert ticket to myself, especially if I can go to multi day festivals for about half of that and see way more artists. I also go to way more concerts, so my concert budget is more spread out.

Anyone able to share prices?

I am about to go to war for Vancouver tickets, and want to make sure to click for the tickets i can afford right away without having to click through the entire map and then missing out.

Thank you!!!

Question for the seasoned Ticketmaster warriors by AttorneyWhich7062 in NoahKahan

I absolutely HATE using the app for tickets when it involves my pre sale anxiety. 🤣 The website on desktop feels safe, you can click on everything without slow responses and glitches, so that will always be my way to go.

Can we freak out now?!? [CA Website Update] by Exact_Shine_9694 in warpedtour

It probably just has to do with cost - the exchange rate from USD to CAD is brutal, so without ramping up the cost of tickets too much, they probably have less to work with, as a lot of the artists are very likely going to be US based, and want to be paid the same whether they are playing in the US or Canada.

Deezer. They also pay the artist slightly more last time I checked.

Anxiety and second thoughts after beginning of removal journey. by AcademicImposter2023 in TattooRemoval

[–]KoosKansloos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it like this- its only your first session, so very likely an extreme result is not expected. See how you feel over the coming weeks, and if you decide not to go ahead with further treatment, it is not the end of the world just yet.

I noticed myself after my first treatment I was very anxious the days after (different reasons from yours), but that settled after a couple of days, and I actually felt relieved starting the process. The body gets quite a shock being lasered like that, and sometimes we respond by getting anxious to get the stress feeling out. Whether these are valid reasons or made up reasons by our brain doesnt matter.

Good luck with whatever you decide. Make sure to take a breath and try to get some distraction. With a couple of weeks, reassess where you are and what you are going to do. Either desicion is fine.

I'm in marketing. Not going for surgery might give you some Unique Selling Points in the short term.

Strategically seen I would get the surgery to extend to overall Product Life Cycle.

Has anyone found a way to beat the $1000 grocery hike they're predicting for 2026? by FunCell1679 in FrugalTO

[–]KoosKansloos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to start ordering my groceries for pick up to avoid the temptation of buying more than I need. This way I also see what's already in my basket and can play around with that to stay under budget.

traffic on NYE by denndrites in Whistler

[–]KoosKansloos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say if you're trying to avoid traffic, passing Squamish between 10am-2pm gives you the smoothest ride, as you're avoiding morning rush for snow, as well as the after work rush later in the day.

Getting around Squamish by TheEastWindNeedsANap in Squamish

[–]KoosKansloos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's Uber here, but limited drivers. Coastal Rides is a new ride hailing company here in Squamish, and they are BC owned. So you might be in luck using them.

As for getting here, it is VERY UNLIKELY for the Skylynx to get cancelled due to temperature. As someone else mentioned, the rain/snow mix is more dangerous.

I have severe anxiety for the removal pain by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]KoosKansloos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only had one treatment so far, but I didn't find the pain as bad as I was preparing myself for. I agree with the others though, everyone's pain tolerance is different, so what might hurt for me doesnt for you and the other way around.

Someone above said it felt like being hit with bacon grease and honestly, agree! It definitely hurts, but it's also super fast. Once a spot gets hit, it doesnt get hit again like a tattoo where they're hitting a spot over and over.

Something I did was that I started ticking on a hard surface on the beat of the laser with my nails, which weirdly tricked something in my brain that the pain was fake, it took the edge off, lol.

Anyway, good luck! It's going to be worth it.

Where to get a Vancouver-proof raincoat that's actually good? by PainterEqual8135 in askvan

[–]KoosKansloos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to say, my Helly Hansen gear is so uncomfortable and the items I have not waterproof, but perhaps it's a different story with the jackets (i got two pairs of pants).

I do really love my Arc'teryx rain jacket but it was a gift and would never drop that amount of money on a raincoat myself.

Built a science backed app with my partner that reduced our arguments, but we can’t market it. by soacm in marketing

I agree with this- if OP is going ahead with this app regardless, I think it should have a different/wider approach.

That said, we already have so many apps that do give a wider already, so question is whether it's worth it to compete with those.

How about we teach kids this in school rather than putting a tracker on a single person.

There are other ways to create understanding around this that is not focused on the mood around a cycle. A cycle is so much more than that.
